Think he’s gonna take the “solo but still under the band name”
    route?

i’ve been meaning to tell you

Darren was the latest guest on the Your Favorite Band podcast. He talks a little bit about leaving the band. Basically said he wished he had quit sooner and he is not speaking to Paul Meany.

Haven’t gotten the chance to listen yet... Did he say what specifically happened between them??

That’s so weird, given Darren retweeted that video Paul made the other day. I would have never gotten the impression that they’re not speaking.

No, he said Paul was a massively talented dude and he wished Paul the best but he made it sound like it wasn’t a healthy situation for him. He talked for like ten minutes on it without really saying anything.

Anyone know what’s going on with the band?? Are we thinking they’re done?

    My guess is indefinite hiatus

I don’t even know if I want them to continue honestly... my ideal situation is probably Paul starting a project under a new name and still performing some Mutemath songs live.

My hope would be that Paul and Darren will have some time to mend and potentially return to Mutemath in a healthier way for everyone involved some day. Not that I expect that or feel entitled to that, it’s just a nice thought. The way it ended was so abrupt and sad.

But yeah I definitely don’t want a Mutemath without Darren and Roy.

    The rivalry is back on

It looked like they were potentially teasing with Twenty One Pilots a few weeks ago, but I don’t think anything came of that. Who knows though.

Been listening to this in its entirety for the first time in a while.

    Fucking great album.

Yeah this album still slays a year later. Achilles Heel is easily a top 3 song from this band for me.

In case anyone missed it, looks like Paul Meany co-produced the new Twenty One Pilots album. I’m honestly so happy for him, this is huge.
