Well the size and ports matter too rite? This 745 is pci express 3.0. The tower itself isn't massive either.

 

Every new line of cards has options at several price tiers, i.e unless you find a 960 on sale (which is probably likely), when the 10XX series comes out the 1060 should be similarly priced and a marked improvement over the 960.

 

Man, I just watched the Overwatch intro again and I wish there was just more of a story than there is already with Overwatch. It just has such a great look and an incredible voice cast.

 

Woulda made a great MMO, amirite?

 

Most modern cards will use pci express 3.0, Form factor could be a deciding factor in some of the larger cards.

To ensure compatability something you could do is put whatever components are in your desktop in pcpartpicker, and select various cards you are interested in to see if it comes up clean.

i just did the systemrequirementslab.com thing and it was checkmarks on everything minimum and recommended. i'mma talk to blizzard. i did update the drivers as well.

 

What kind of performance are you getting, is the FPS consistent or are there drops?

 

the frame rate limit doesn't allow me to choose 60fps in the video settings. says display-based and 30. and i get screen tearing sometimes as well.

i didn't go xbox one because most people i know are playing on PC so haha

 

Well the screen tearing is unfortunate but minimum only ensures it's playable

Is the 30fps consistent at least?

Finished watching playthroughs of Nathan Drake Collection. Have to say U3 had the best story to me, WAY too many gunfights in 1-2.

Look forward to watching U4 next week

 

I finished U2 the other day and the last half made me feel like I was playing a call of duty game. I was pretty sick of all the action lol.

 

I'm definitely glad I stopped playing about 1/2 through U1 cuz it definitely didn't get better after that. U3 seemed to have enough non-shooting gameplay that I'd enjoy and may even go back and play myself someday.

 

I was playing with a group of guys who all had mics and we were constantly communicating and going crazy. I think those few games might have been my favorite of Overwatch so far. It also has me super pumped for competitive mode.

 

Have you seen the animated shorts? They're awesome.

 

Yeah man they're all so good. Winston gives all the feels. I wish we could get more to this. I'm not sure what exactly what would be best suited, but I think we'd all like to see the backstory looked at more.

 

Just played with a friend who kept healing me with mercy as I shredded with Junkrat. Even got POTG destroying a turret and eliminating three people!!

 

That was me and one of the dudes in my group. I played as Mercy and he played as Winston and we just stopd on the payload and prevented them from moving at all.

Mercy has slowly turned into my second favorite hero next to Hanzo.

 

Yeah they're so amazing. I hope we get at least one video for each hero.

 

Just watched the hero short, wow that was good.

 

So uh, I just got Overwatch.

And I already lost two games against multiple Bastions/Torbjorns. Fuck this.

 

It's kinda crazy to already see people already reaching levels over 30 meanwhile I'm over here barely at level 12.
