Ben Golliver on the SI show pushed an idea of having the finals at neutral cities over the course of a couple weeks like the super bowl, functioning as an extended all star weekend. Don’t hate that at all

 

The home crowd is a huge part of it, and part of the big celebration for the city when their team wins.

 

Half the time the winning team wins on the road anyway, but I feel you. But it would also mean less blowouts, more rested players, etc.

 

you could maybe do that for the first two games? have the first two at a neutral site and then go to the cities of the playing teams. idk. i think that could cause some issues with preparation or conspiracies. kind of like when they had the 2-3-2 set up for awhile instead of the 2-2-1-1-1. or when the Super Bowl didn't have the 2 week break and they played it the week after the title games people lost their minds.
