Yeah those movies are def not for me but to each their own.

Schmaltz- Spanish Love Songs:


I’ll just do a quick write up about this since I’m at work. For one thing, as soon as I listened to this I got a Mezingers vibe, but better imo. The instrumentals on the album are very well done, the guitars especially are really damn good. I am a fan of the pessimistic lyrics of the songs, kind of a bitter sweet theme with a bit of a punk kick. There isn’t really a bad song on this album, and I have listened to it numerous times as well as added it to my top 10 of the year so far. The choruses are huge, there is a lot going on in these songs, and it’s sonically rich. It’s aggressive and yet melodic, and I cannot help but admire it and revisit. My favorite songs are probably, in no order:

Sequels, Remakes, & Adaptations
Buffalo Buffalo
El Niño Considera His Failures
Joana, In Five Acts
Beer & Nyquil (Hold It Together)
