why is Shawn's dad such a dick to him?

I know that he's like trying to teach him stuff but he's just always really mean and talking down to him.

 

Henry wanted Shawn to be a cop.

I'm more talking about when he was a kid, as an adult I know he can take it more, but kids should not be subjected to that.

Right. I mean. Not to defend him or anything, but he definitely paid the price for his behavior. He lost his wife and in a lot of ways he lost his son. Shawn only sought him out after he started solving murders.

 

but yeah I guess so, it just really bothers me watching the first season how mean he is to a 10 year old.

 

I think it finally stopped, at least until tonight.

 

Surprisingly, my commute home doesn't look that bad. Usually when we get rain all day like this, the residual effects of the rain on traffic linger through rush hour...my wife's cooking dinner tonight so it'll be nice to actually be on time when getting home for once.

I have 3 more weeks without a commute! But I’ve been stuck inside all day cuz of the rain. My only respite was replacing a ceiling fan upstairs while the kids napped.

one time I had to drive with my dad to san antonio from el paso (~7 hour drive) and he listened to this song repeatedly. it was brutal. and he would blast it. like intentionally trying to annoy me with my headphones on.

 

Sounds like my wife. I was listening to this with my kids yesterday and she thought it was too heavy:

 

my dad would have turned that off after the first second.

She just doesn’t like the way it sounds, it’s not pleasing to her ears.

 

I was actually taught by one of my high school teachers that there is a certain “devils chord” or some bullshit. Basically it was just very dissonant but it was considered evil. People be cray
