Four Winds EP is wonderful.

 

i was insanely close to getting an aphex twin logo tattoo in college

 

I can't really weigh in on favorite albums since my tastes have shifted so much over the years. I have a heavy bias toward a couple albums released in the last year haha

 

The EP is really good and I feel like bright eyes eps get overlooked a lot.

 

Oh shit, I missed the cursive talk. Somehow underrated despite everyone in the world saying Tim Kasher is underrated. Also, I'll throw my hat in the ring for how good his solo record The Game of Monogamy is. Really enjoyed that album musically and lyrically.

 

Bjork has 2 or 3 perfect albums under her belt

 

Yeah I went from never listening to albums to listening to 400+ in a year so the last three years have altered my tastes so much.

 

Yeah my list wasn’t all my favorites by any means it was just perfect albums haha

 

I can back this

 

"No One Would Riot For Less" is one of my favorite Bright Eyes songs

 

Yeah Reasonable Doubt belongs there for sure

 

It's def one of the best on that album

 

I'll have to check that one out, it's sadly one of the few I don't have! I think Kasher is my favorite lyricist.

 

I only learned about Damien Rice when MTV2 was airing the Shortlist Music Prize and I was rooting for Bright Eyes to win it so bad and Damien won it and I was livid. Like bright eyes was the peak of song writing in music history to me at that point. Then I heard O and was just like "O, I get it now."

 

That was definitely their peak, but wow are there some good songs scattered through the rest of their records, especially "What Have I Done"

 

You know what’s a perfect album that people forget about is Granddaddy-the sophtware slump.

 

I had to interact with people who's names were pronounced ogre and Shrek but spelled differently within a few minutes and that was tough

 

an ex would always throw on O in the car when we drove from new jersey to boston for college after breaks. now it just reminds me of that and i can't listen to it anymore. fantastic record hough.

 

i never forgot. under the western freeway fucks too.

i really liked the album they put out last year as well

Burst & Bloom has been my favorite EP since I first heard it 15 years ago. Gretta Cohn's cello just added so much and they were in the perfect time between Domestica & The Ugly Organ. I love Mama I'm Swollen and Happy Hollow though. I am Gemini isn't bad either.

 

Honestly need to relisten to all of these. Might have to listen to Bright eyes for the first time in a couple months today.

 

@Larry David I recently picked up The Storms of Early Summer: Semantics of Song and Such Blinding Stars for Starving Eyes on vinyl when they were repressed last year. Can't forget those either.

 

road head is a good song by Japanese breakfast
