I think it’s a fantastic opening/tone setter. Sometimes when I hear it out of context it doesn’t hit for me, but if I’m ever about to throw on the album in full I feel like it sets up the rest of the record perfectly

It definitely belongs on the album. That's a good point. As a stand-alone song, it really does nothing for me though.
