The SNL performance “Slow Burn” is beautiful, but I’ve yet to really enjoy one of her “High Horse” tv performances. It just comes off kind of thin for me... not sure if it’s her vocals or the band but one of my favorite tracks on the album just does not work live-to-tape.

Yeah High Horse didn't sound great, but that's the first performance I watched that she didn't nail

Slow Burn was good

 

Never would have thought about listening to a Kacey Musgraves album, but those SNL performances were so damn good. In love with this album.

^Same. This is still in my top 3 though (along with Kali Uchis). Courtney Barnett is making a strong case to get up there as well.

 

It’s my number 2, behind Caitlyn Smith. The Donovan Woods. Then probably Field Report and Brian Fallon.

 

Number two after Janelle but it doesn't matter they're both fantastic

 

My wife plays this a ton so it will wind up in my top 10 just from how much I listen to it. It is great too, though

 

She sounds fucking GREAT here

 

Yeah she killed that. Has anyone seen her live?

 

I saw her on the last tour and it was amazing, hopefully going to the next tour also

 

I'm gonna see her open for Harry Styles in July but I haven't seen her before. One year she played a smallish venue on my birthday but I had to work so I missed it booooo

 

Saw her live around the time of same trailer. It was at our rodeo though

 

Saw her at a festival a little before Pageant Material came out and it was the best

 

I missed out on her and Conor Oberst still need to see her

 

I'm hoping she does a headlining tour soon. Considered seeing her open for Harry Styles but it's very expensive and she probably plays for like 20 minutes.

 

I feel like she has to in like the fall/winter, I can't imagine her not doing a US headlining tour for an album, I think Harry was just booked so far in advance

 

And I thought Harry Styles was an odd pairing

 

If anybody's listening to Live From Here (live at Wolf Trap) or is planning to, the episode Kacey's on is magnificent. I'm listening to it live and this version of "High Horse" is now my favorite. It should be live on the Live From Here site either later tonight or tomorrow.

 

Decided to listen to this for no real reason the other day, and jeez, this girl has such an amazing voice!! And all the songs sound so nice and good yeah I like this
