Beenox have worked on cod for a few years now.

 

I think it looks good. Most I've been excited for a CoD game in years, honestly. Will probably pick it up based on this.

Destiny moved to this system as well. I guess Activision wants to have it uniform across their three major shooters? Surprised CoD is doing it though. Although really, the franchise has kind of been moving in this direction ever since they changed killstreaks to scorestreaks. Kind of a natural progression in that sense, and encourages more teamwork and objective play. We all know how notorious CoD historically is as a franchise for encouraging lone wolf play.

The Division 2 vs Anthem in a battle for players. Who comes out on top? No idea

 

Anthem by far.

 

It’s going to depend on what state each game launches in. Anthem certainly has the potential to be more fun/inventive just because of the setting and movement capabilities and stuff, but there are a few issues. First, it’s an EA game so we still don’t know exactly how sinister the monetization system will be; I doubt it’s as bad as Battlefront 2 but it could still be bad. In addition, a lot of the same production problems that plagued Destiny (and Destiny 2) appear to be affecting Anthem as well, like the head writer leaving the studio amid rumors of a total game reboot a year or so out from release. So it has a ton of question marks. Also Bioware has never made this kind of game before.

Division 2, on the other hand, has the benefit of being made by a studio who’s done this kind of thing before. So long as Massive avoids the Bungie problem of not learning from the first game’s mistakes, Division 2 should build on the already solid foundation of Division 1’s current state (it’s a really fun game now) and come out the gate in great shape.

I think it’s going to be a cool situation to watch play out, especially considering they’re both most likely launching around the same time (March 2019). Also will be interesting to see where Destiny 2 is at by that point.

 

The Division 2 will probably do better. People are still pissed at EA and Bioware for their own respective reasons and I imagine EA will do something dumb to shoot the game in the foot before it’s released.

 

I doubt that. They want to be the new Destiny and crush Bungie. A lot of people will jump ship from that to Anthem.

 

So I'm finally going through my video game backlog. I just beat Wolfenstein: The New Order and I had beaten God of War, Telltale's Batman Season 1 & 2 and Danganronpa 2 right before that. I don't have any "big" games coming out in a while so I'm hoping to tackle some more.

I’m playing through Ghost Recon: Wildlands, fun and crazy stuff.

 

Black Ops 4 actually has me quite intrigued. I never played BO3 despite Treyarch being the best developer in the franchise. I’ve watched Hutch since the MW2 days and he’s a good authority on anything COD although he’s all Fortnite now (which is better).

Actual gameplay

 

I'm intrigued by CoD for the BR and I'm not ashamed to admit that. I suck at the building aspect of Fortnite, can't play PUBG on PS4. If the CoD one is well received, I will jump on that for the first CoD game since Black Ops 1.

RE BO4: Has the game got the same jumping as BO3 does? I wasn't a fan of everyone boosting up everywhere and it put me off too much when I played it

 

Okay that Hutch video says no jetpacks so no boost jumping, bit more hyped now

 

Seems like that one specialist with the grapple mechanic is the only thing of that sort.

The longer time to kill has me looking forward to the game now

 

Yeah but that won't bother me as much, if anything that will be cool to see how people use it rather than everyone just jump boosts out of all the gunfights.

God, I shouldn't have looked at youtube comments, I forgot how up in arms everyone gets after one video about a game coming out in 5 months time.

 

So I didn’t watch the reveal, but that gameplay vid above looks promising. Did they mention whether or not the BR mode is with the game or separate?

Prob full reveal at E3. Apparently the map is comprised of a lot of fan favorite maps. Sounds like vehicles are in and also sounds like zombies might be in parts of the map lol.

 

This game looks jolly as fuck. I can't wait to play it.
