Kanye West - ye & Kids See Ghosts (June 1 & 8 2018) Album • Page 102

  1. He literally said this in the post you quoted calling him a hypocrite: "no words of support regardless how I feel about the new music."

So if the music is good, and someone asks his opinion on the new album, he will lie? Ok, gotcha.

everyone knows the big issue here is *squints* whether or not you tell the truth about liking his music (?????????)

what is going on in here? like imagine a hypothetical scenario where the album is so good that it completely erases all the dumb shit kanye said and all the shit people he aligned himself with

I find it improbable for someone (who appears to be a fan of his earlier work), over the course of the next X amount of years, not to voice their opinion on Kanye's albums, if asked.

If I like the new kanye album and someone asks me about it I'll just say yeah it's good but who gives a shit lol this ain't hard or even a pressing issue

I find Kanye to be more often than not...a complete asshat.

I do however, think he is an artistic genius.

Excited for the output. Not excited to hear him speak in public about anything ever

  14. I guess I just wasn't aware that adults are held the the same "truth" scale as folks in, say, kindergarten, and that our only options are "the truth" or "the lie".

I'll play along: in the mythical scenario that I listened to the album and loved it after all this, my response would be that Kanye the person soured me on Kanye the artist and I don't really wish to discuss it beyond that. Which is my honest answer. Coincidentally, it's also the answer I'd give if I listened to it and genuinely hated it, because negative reviews can also prompt people to listen.

This, however, is not the real issue in any of this but I guess congrats for being a giant distraction.

And regardless of what you find hard to believe, I've been a Kanye fan for many, many years.

  15. I think pretending you can't offer a critique and information about someone's behavior and why you would recommend to someone they also don't give someone money while also saying "Lift Yourself" and "Ye vs The People" suck ... is a weird reality where only certain words are available to use and we don't have this wonderful thing called communication.

So tell me something awesome Supporter

I mean the argument itself is asinine so it probably shouldn't be addressed, but it'd be extremely easy to say "It's hard to talk about the album without thinking of all the things he said about A, B, and C." if someone wanted to, but even then no one's obligated to. This is not a situation where every fan/former fan has to act in absolutes.

This is extreme mental gymnastics. It just feels like you're insecure about it to the point of trying to "gotcha" everyone else and it makes me sad to read. A lot of people have been hurt by all this and a lot of people are still trying to figure it out themselves, and also a lot of people want to help educate on just how bad this is and talk things out. The "gotcha" approach is just painful and counterproductive.

I probably worded that badly, if so my apologies.

Whoa, whoa. I made sure that I clarified that i was not, in fact, calling you stupid.

That’s how it works, right? I am allowed to clarify things after the fact despite being completely unambiguous in my first statement?
