I've never had a bad filet mignon but I'm not sure if I've ever had an excellent one either

Ribeye/NY strip however...so many excellent ones and some bad ones here and there

 

lol except drafting a top 15 talent at DT at 29, and keeping a QB who played well in two playoff games for 18M / 8M AAV guaranteed when everyone else is paying out 20+ guaranteed... are not bad moves by any stretch??

Bortles will probably be fine, but Jacksonville is the ideal situation to get a strong rookie year performance from a supposedly flawed QB (like Russell Wilson in Seattle or Dak in Dallas), and I’m very glad they did not do try to do that

 

I feel like it was an option. But people are really exaggerating if they think Bortles is still THAT bad that we were dumb for passing on Lamar. Or otherwise they didn't watch him much since 2016.

He had a few old-Bortles games and I do dearly hope those go away... but for the most part he was a really different QB who made patient, calculated choices and was far less erratic with his footwork / throwing motion.

Imo Baltimore was an even better spot for Lamar cause Flacco is actually old and declining, not young and ascending

Ribeye is the only steak that matches flavor with cost per pound. Ribeye is not overrated at all.

Filet is way overrated, tender is one thing but I often find that Filet is really chewy, and not as juicy as advertised since it doesn't have marbling.

New York Strips gotta be rare or medium rare or else you might as well just order flank steak

 

also Prime Rib is awesome but only if you're hungry enough to eat it before it cools off. That slow roast flavor doesn't last long.

 

NY Strip is the best "bang for the buck" steak out there IMO

medium rare is the proper way to eat steak. but i eat steak maybe twice a year. it's just not my preferred method of meat consumption

If they do it that's what I'm ordering. If not I just try to know the restaurant and whether they tend to over or undercook. A place that typically undercooks, gotta go medium.

I order prime rib medium always.

is it actually a big Pittsburgh thing to get your steak Pittsburgh style? (Rare or med rare but with a heavy char on the outside) Or is that just a coincidental name for it?

 

There are so many foods I am not that picky about but steak is definitely one I'm picky about
