seeing the "list your AOTYs this decade so far" tweet made me realize this flat out isn't true.

The 80s were dope

 

In terms of the best of the best, yeah the 60s and 70s maybe even the 90s. But in terms of just music, you just can't compare due to how vastly different society and technology is.

 

So the 10s have more recorded available music? Sure

 

Yeah in terms of availability, accessibility, and actually becoming a musician, this decade is the best. And honestly in terms of music in general. Much more diverse. That's not saying the best of the best is better. But overall yeah gimmie this era.

what the hell was that about 45 minute sets lol i can only assume it's because you know you'll pay like 20 bucks on tickets and won't fear the band might break up before you get the chance to see them again

i'm still mad at TWY for playing less than an hour when they came cause tickets always cost like 1/5th our average income. also they'll probably never return

80 minute sets should be the minimum for headliners unless your songs are all >200bpm

 

Static Prevails is a crazy underrated album and gets pushed aside because of the breadth of their discography, but easily stands its own amongst all of them.

 

10's > 00's > 70s > 60s > 90s > 80s

 

I don't like or care about any of these artists

 

Beatles > Beach Boys > Rolling Stones > Who > Who cares

 

At least it wasn't Zombies Who Cream Harry Nilsson.
