I Can't Believe Americans Ate That Much Butter!

 

if you're at a steak house then 9 times out of 10 if you order medium you're getting medium rare anyway

it's the worst part of all meat.

fuck no, ribeye is dope as hell. I just don't eat slabs of fat.

The fat on ribeye is exactly why it tastes better than filet. I'm not advocating to eat fatty pieces of meat. I'm just saying there's a lot of flavor in fat.

 

the fat in the meat, sure. but the slabs of fat? absolutely not.

 

burnt ends are super fatty and they're one of the best bbq dishes

always order medium rare...sometimes get medium-medium well back and i send it back. if i get it rare i'll just go ahead and eat it but i have to eat it real fast and not think about it too much

just think about all the dishes that are absolutely sublime which come from fatty cuts of meat. leg of lamb, pork butt/shoulder, ribs from all different animals. chuck roast. dark meat chicken.

think of all the dishes where butter is absolutely essential: fettuccine alfredo, pan seared meat, all the cakes and cookies and baked goods in the world, garlic bread, bernaise, hollandaise, any egg preparation, etc.

These all use butter as an ingredient. I'm talking about butter as a condiment.
