Figured Eddie Dennis was getting signed because he had tryouts. Quite shocked about Travis Banks, and figured Chris Brookes was getting signed in the long run, especially after what Ohno said as SSS16, but didn’t expect it to happen so soon.

Also, fuck Dave Mastiff.

 

Also, pretty surprised they didn’t pickup Zack Gibson. They already signed his tag partner, and half of The Origin with El Ligero and fat bastard Dave Mastiff, why didn’t they go with him, major heat on that guy.

 

Pretty sure he is signed already. Booked for NXT live in Paris next month.

based on tonight's show, it seems like we're getting

Gargano vs Ciampa
Ricochet vs Dream
Black vs Lars for the WWE title
Undisputed Era vs Burch and Lorcan for the tag titles
Something with the women's title
NA title (Cole vs EC3? Haven't really built to it, but its a match that makes sense as NA title should be defended and EC3 should be on the card, and the build is easy (just have EC3 win a multi man contenders match))

that would be a crowded two hours but also a really stacked show

 

Think this was covered a little while back, but Adam Cole is facing someone June 19 at the UK tourney. Odds are he wont defend in Chicago. Also wouldnt be surprised if they draw out the Cross/Bazler feud into that weekend.

Gargano vs Ciampa Street Fight

...is a great card, maybe even more potential than Takeover: New Orleans if Ricochet/Dream and Bazler/Cross deliver like they could.

That card certainly looks fun, but it feels a waste to not use Cole or EC3.

 

Yeah, its just that they really dont seem to do 6-match cards anymore. Last time was Takeover: Brooklyn II, and that had a 5ish min Asuka match. The ones before that were the ones where Corbin was squashing people.

Cant see what match (aside from Lars/Black) they would make short, especially since Dream/Ricochet and Gargano/Ciampa are both gonna be longer matches

 

With ppv’s being longer, it wouldn’t surprise me if takeovers are now 3+ hours
