Batgirl, because I love the character and think this first arc is a fun premise. All-Star Batman, because the villain-centric premise sounds cool. Trinity, because I like Francis Manapul a lot. New Super-Man, because a Superman character in Hong Kong sounds like a cool premise.

When the Wonder Woman issues making up "Year One" are done, I'll get that trade. I'm intrigued by Green Lanterns, in spite of having never really read GL stuff.

I think All-Star Batman will be my must read after getting through Court of Owls (finally). Francis Manapul was great with The Flash run so I may have to check out Trinity. Mostly, I'll probably just be hoping I have a more consistent source of income by the time any of these trades come out haha.

Have not read any Batgirl yet. Would you recommend starting with the New 52 run?

Yeah, but you could also probably just jump into the Rebirth series. Or, you could start with Batgirl of Burnside era of New 52. Or, yeah, you could start at the beginning of New 52 and read all of Gail Simone's run first. Any of those are equally valid starting points.

If you are just interested in the character in general, my favorite thing with her is the gorgeous Batgirl: Year One limited series.

My LCS is running a bundle for all Rebirth #1s for 40 bucks (10 bucks a week) in June which is 10 dollars off the total (normally it would be $50) so I'm gonna check them all out.

You should check out all the Johns GL and GL Corps stuff (and there is a lot) from Green Lantern Rebirth (return of Hal Jordan) up through Blackest Night. Sinestro Corp war is really great.

That is definitely a good reason to check them all out!

I want to, but like you said, it's a lot! lol. I'll definitely dive into all of that stuff eventually.

After Darkest Night Johns continued writing the book but that was a great event and everything after wasn't really as good.

So, if I go all in and go the omnibus route (probably will), basically just get the first two? The second omnibus has Darkest Night, and the third seems to pick up afterwards and also go into New 52.

To be honest, I'll try most all of them haha.

But Tom King is writing Batman. He is a fantastic writer. One of the best new voices we have. His Vision, Omega Men, and Sheriff of Babylon are well worth your time.

Additionally, a new Batgirl book by Hope Larson. And also a new Birds of Prey by two women who wrote the show The 100.

I'm also irrationally excited for Teen Titans. Damian is such a little brat and I love the idea of him trying to lead that team.

Oh! And Joshua Williamson writing Flash should be solid.

I'm in the minority but I loved Brightest Day way more than Blackest Night. Johns entire GL run from Rebirth to N-52 was great though!

Turning into a DC fan are we? Haha
Who did the art for Batgirl:Year One? Love that story!

I've always enjoyed DC... Marvel and Image are just better. :panther:

Batgirl: Year One was penciled by Marcos Martin, inked by Alvaro Lopez, and colored by Javier Rodriguez. Same art team as Doctor Strange: The Oath. Rodriguez also does the pencils and did the colors on Spider-Woman with Lopez inks. Great art team.

I'm just surprised to see like 5 DC titles you plan to check out I know it was at like 2 lol! You'll have to let me know how Batgirl and All-Star Batman is.

@Tim I was looking around for Batgirl: Year One and it's looking to be hard to find by itself.

I'll likely just get it in this trade at some point: Batgirl Robin Year One TP

I mean it's going to be Captain America under deep-cover 100%

I have all the issues, but you can also get a trade that has both it and Robin: Year One. That might be the easiest route, and not too pricey. Just google "batgirl robin year one."

Yep! Literally had edited my post as you sent yours haha. Found it on IST. It'll probably sit in my wishlist for a while since I'm going to attempt to read what I have before digging into more comics.

Rebirth is the first DC anything that I've read in the main continuity (Watchmen, Killing Joke and etc was all I read). Had a friend explain some stuff (actually most of the easter eggs, references) and I liked it a lot.

Not sure what I should get though.

I bought it but didn't read it yet. I like the premise a lot.

Tonally it's seems like a book I could really get into, unlike the other two Squadron Supreme ongoings.

It's kind of like an afro-centric Punisher with a touch of Batman.

Am I the only person that thinks Marvel is telegraphing who the major character death in Civil War II will be way too much? I mean it's obvious at this point it's going to be War Machine. I almost hope they're misdirecting us and it's someone else.
