I don't want to sound like this, friends, and perhaps it is the devil's lettuce speaking, but the White Album is one of the best albums of all time

It's too much of a mixed bag for me, I like a concise cohesive record more. But I do need to spend more time with it

 

I thought of another one
- I met the author of Arthur when I was a kid and asked him what kind of animal was and he told me he was an aardvark
- there was some sort of publishing contest thing when I was in elementary school to have poems published so I was technically a published author as a child
-I once wrote Jim Davis a letter asking him why Garfield loves lasagna so much and he responded

the only major blemish is revolution 9 for me, and I think the album works as almost a neat summary of their whole career. songwriting is next level here and even the things that seem obvious for them have a gravity and air to them imo. one of the rare double albums that I feel like warrants the bloat, even if disc 1 is probably the better album

 

I do know how stuff like this can lead to anxiety so I feel you. just think of soon you won’t have to deal with it anymore! And if anyone wants to say anything literally fuck them.

I mean not literally. Unless they consent. Then go ahead.

 

I basically agree with this. It's kinda all over the place. That said, the songs on there that I love are like my favorite songs by them so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

Revolution 9 is interesting for me because of the whole Paul Is dead thing haha

 

yeah I need to revisit it but I know I like While My Guitar Gently Weeps and Revolution 1

 

White Album definitely has some of their best songs but just proves my theory that double albums are rarely warranted, there's a wonderful single album maybe with some bonus tracks in there

 

I agree completely. Most double albums I get pretty weary of after an hour or so

 

I love early beatles too. That seems to be a tiny rarer for younger people.
