Damn, took a couple of weeks off from this but coming back to it tonight was a great listen. I could see this creeping back into my rotation for sure

 

this album is legit.

 

Still probably my favorite of the year so far

I think I overplayed it :( Can't seem to find an urge to revisit it lately. Hopefully the time away from it treats it well though. I was the same way for Keep You and it's among one of my favorite albums now.

 

thats how I felt. over 30 listens in one week. then took a long time off, came back to it and I love it

 

I like this one even more than Keep You.

 

yeah, i've had very little motivation to go back to this. might end up selling my tickets to the radio show, i saw them recently enough i might have burned myself out

 

I haven't listened to this since the week it came out. Nothing really stuck tbh.

 

this is still the quickest anything they've done has made me fall in love and I'm still in love baby

fake lightning is an jncredible opener and an achievement that should not be understated or lost through the year

Yeah Fake Lighting is amazing. Those drums, Kyle's much improved vocals, that soaring chorus. Will be one of my favorite songs of the year.

EDIT: I'm still typing "Lightning" instead of "Lighting" after 2 months lol

 

As I've said before, I'm still really enjoying this record. I'm never going to like it as much as Keep You, but that's okay. It also isn't the clear AOTY I thought it could be, but it's a really strong record from an even stronger band, so I'm not complaining.

Fake Lighting, Bay of Dreams, Love on Repeat, and Blue are all among the best songs I've heard this year.

 

I still come back to this regularly. Something I couldn’t say about last years two big hitters(The National, Julien Baker) who both had fantastic albums. Though they just didn’t interest me as their previous albums. Where’s I adore KY, but I may think this has something more hopeful /interesting to say. Esp as someone who is happily married, and expecting my first child like me.

 

So what vinyl editions of this are worth getting? I think I want to get one

 

I think this will be like Keep You for me. I don't listen to it that often, but when I do, I think, "This is great, I should listen to it more."

and yeah, Fake Lighting is probably my favorite opener this year.

 

Bloody Sweat really does have a B&C vibe to it, and I think that's why I love it so much.

 

Bloody Sweet, Manilla, Charisma, and Dry Spells are definitely my four favorite tracks on the album. The whole thing is fantastic though.

 

I get this album now that I own it

 

honestly sometimes that matters a lot for me

 

It's why I cant use Spotify primarily; there's so much to listen to that I will never ever be able to focus on an album and give it total love unless I own it lol

 

When my iPod video finally dies, I will be a sad man. I'll just have to stream like some peasant
