I've been listening to the As You Were podcast. I love it when they talk about anything released up through Crimson, but they tend to shit on everything that comes after that and it's not as fun to listen to.

 

It seems only overseas people are getting the blurays. People in the US have to wait for the vinyl to be ready even if they didn't order one. I hate kings road. They have fucked up at least 85% of the orders I've made with them. As if their asinine shipping fees weren't enough.

 

This is why I won't listen to it.

 

I'm also convinced we aren't getting new Trio, seems like Dan was in Cali only for Past Live stuff.

 

We definitely are getting new Trio this year and I'm like 99% sure they have to be recording right now

 

I don't know about recording. I hadn't heard or seen with Derek in anything.

 

I'd love for blink to go away until they can figure their shit out. More Alkaline all damn day.

 

Was really anticipating that blu-ray set being here by now. I order from Kings Road pretty often, and pre-orders never fail to be delayed in some way, shape or form. Just wish they’d provide updates for ANY delayed order. It’s just fucking annoying, to be perfectly blunt.

So what’s the general consensus, was Dan in LA to record some new Trio songs with Matt for a new album or no?

 

Seems like he was just there to sign Past Live stuff to me. Figure they would tease at least something if that was the case

 

I’m starting to get a little more nervous about the future of Trio especially since blink is back in the studio now. Have to think when blink puts out another album Matt will be tied up for at least another year or two again.

 

These aren’t one project kind of guys though. I figured once Matt did Blink, he’d do a trio album before doing another Blink album. Maybe it won’t work out this time between the Trio, but it doesn’t feel like they’ve abandoned it.

 

Not sure why everyone’s so down. I expect they’ll do little bits of recording all summer in between the Blink weekend residencies.

Dan tweeted a month or so ago that he’d be in Southern California “for a while” so feels like something will get done this summer.

 

I'm not getting my hopes up.
