Short films are so in right now

 

It has to be a short film. My guess is 2-3 songs to accompany it.

 

Visual EP?

 

Does releasing a couple songs (in a way, the EP that “didn’t exist”) make it any less annoying vs just a single? Frankly anything other than a full album is a fail imo

 

Immediately I said it'd just be a single with album announcement maybe video and nah, nobody listen to the Smart boy. Ya'll are an optimistic bunch

Why, though? They never said anything about the album being done. They also are not at a point where they could drop the whole thing for full effectiveness. The last time they teased a date, all they did was change their damn color scheme. This is such a ridiculous expectation when it was never going to happen just because some people on this website got excited about them saying “June 1st.”

 

I don't see why they'd give press a single that far in advance, but I also don't see why they'd give press a single if they're just gonna drop the whole album

 

Maybe it will make sense when the album rollout gets going. But they are obviously going to do a more traditional rollout. No way do they drop the whole album and we should never had expected them to.

 

Idk announcing an album a month out is pretty much the norm now. Would've made total since if they had released a single in the first few days of the countdown going up

 

I definitely hope that we get the album sooner rather than later. I really, really think it’s going to be a short film with 2 songs on it. Hopefully also an album release date.

 

I think we'll get a single with video (possibly short film), pre orders, album date, and tour dates all at the same time at the end of this countdown. That'd be significantly more substantial than just a single

 

Yeah, I’d definitely be happy about that. Some people will call it a letdown, but that’s a lot of information from a great band.
