Oh man I really like that song actually. Heavy Alice In Chains vibes. Favorite is “Headless” though, shit is HARD

I tried Trail of Lies but thought it was awful. I don't get the hype at all.

I can definitely see the vocals turning people off, I'm not crazy about it, but musically it's the kind of shit I wanna hear.

I actually just listened to that record today. Riffs are hard, vocals are a bit....odd. Probably good gym music but I don’t think I’d be listening much elsewhere. I prefer Queensway for that style

I can't get into the vocals. I tweeted something to the tune of that and they retweeted me and added some dumb comment. Whatever lol. Certainly one of merch swaps most popular bands

EDIT: Yeah I like Queensway more for this type of thing. Baltimore Hardcore!

Also, I legit thought that was a new Ceremony song.

  11. I couldn’t get into L Shaped Man.

L-Shaped was jarring at first but over time, I’ve grown to really love it. Being in a few shitty relationships helped with that.

Only one of their records I’m not really into is Zoo. everything else is great

Yeah, Zoo is hit or miss to me. There’s some solid tracks on it but it mostly falls flat.

Musically, I like the Trail of Lies and Queensway records, but the vocals are kind of hard for me to get into.

A new track from a "supergroup" featuring members of Turnstile, Fury, Krimewatch, and Big Bite...this is pretty good. It's more skate punk than hardcore, but it still slaps.

Oooh, Kerrang posted a map containing their picks for best hardcore bands from each state. There are some interesting picks here:

The United States Of Hardcore — Kerrang!

Upon initial reaction, it's a good mix of some of old school and new school picks. There are some I disagree with quite a bit (Charles Bronson for Illinois; Scream for Virginia); some bands that are quality acts, but a bit too new compared to some of the other bands mentioned. For example, Year of the Knife is great, but they're the best hardcore band ever from Delaware? I know jack shit about Delaware hardcore, but that pick just seems odd. That being said, there are quite a few I can't argue with at all (Black Flag, Minor Threat, Modern Life Is War).

    Bad Brains got snubbed, damn

Minor Threat ain't a pick to sneeze at though. If you aren't gonna pick Bad Brains for DC, Minor Threat is really the only other viable option IMO.

I also would have chosen Iron Age for Texas though so what do I know

Bent Life's state must have a really bad hardcore scene if they're the best lol

Very cool to see Kerrang covering at lot of hardcore recently. Turnstile were recently on the cover.
