Just random question have you guys ever listened to Screeching Weasel - My Brain Hurts album?I know most of you probably yes but for younger fans who enjoy Blink's Cheshire cat/Dude Ranch era it would be maybe something cool to discover

  4. Ben Weasel is a piece of shit. Fuck that dude.

My bad guys I’m just as pissed as you he quit the band. Wasn’t a huge fan of California, hoping whatever they do next is great

Usual setlist, with the only addition being a cover of The Cure - "Just Like Heaven."

It’s be cool if blink played more random covers; a bit like when they dropped The Misfits one in at Reading in 2013.

Wow, Skibba's vocals for Violence were awful in that video above. :( I love skibba as much as the next person too.

Mark sounds really great on that cover.

I assumed it was Matt's suggestion but apparently Goldfinger have covered it several times too.

    Things have changed.

Do you love him enough to spell his name right? ;-)

Lol of course the only two Youtube comments on the Cure cover are that Matt should have sung it. That's probably Mark's best live vocals in a decade, he sounded fine. Loved that cover

And yeah Matt's voice wasn't too hot last night. But still not Tom-bad so

I love that they're still opening up with with Cynical. I really wish they would play Rabbit Hole live, especially over KOTW.

Kinda shocked they didn't play LA. That one is always good live.

These professionally shot videos just always emphasize to me how bad they are live. They sound more in sync than they ever did with Tom, but I turned it off right when Matt tried to start harmonizing with Mark.

I hope they record this version haha. Reminds me of the Self-Titled days and their cover of Another Girl Another Planet.

People have gotten on me before for this but Mark and Matt don't go well together in my opinion.

Lol person in the FB Trio group accused the band of trying to drown out Matt's guitar based on a KROQ webcast feed. Shit cracks me up

Isn't their upcoming Vegas residency called "Kings of the Weekend"? I get the feeling they're now kind of obliged to play that one for cross-promotion purposes.

Related hot take: Teenage Satellites > KOTW

I really, really liked California. It has flaws (too many of the same guitar riffs and "woah"s), but it was one of the first albums that year to actually strike me and stay in my CD player in my car. But Blink has always just been really bad live. I never thought that their show translates to how big of a band they are. They were like a band that would be super fun to see in a club and mosh to, but they just always seemed to get dwarfed by arenas to me. Still one of my all time favorite bands, but I finally got to see them live on the tour they did with ADTR and kinda walked away feeling "meh" about it. Stoked for their next album, but probably will skip the tour.

I agree with a lot of this. Sure, they’re better now than they were with Tom in the band but they’re still mediocre live for a band of their size. I still think their shows are “fun”, but I’ve never been blown away by them.

I don't actually think they are better live without Tom, all they did was lose a big part of what made seeing blink special imo.

Honestly Blink was always sloppy live, Travis tends to play off beat and it irks the fuck out of me.
