I mean, it’s a Beach House album. They’ve never been diverse lol

 

I listened to the first song and it sounded like every other Beach House song I’ve ever heard. Does it get better after that?

 

Yeah, but I think there’s a difference between having a consistent sound and recycling the same songs and this album sorta feels like the latter.
When Black Car was released I was like, “holy shit, ok, they are gonna throw in some serious curveballs this album” but I’m not really hearing that.

@KidLightning It’s hard to say cause I’ve only listened a couple times. But check out the song Black Car, I think it’s one of the best they’ve ever done.

That Half Waif record is good but i've had no desire to go back to it tbh

 

Took me way too long, but I'm spinning my white The Moon Is Down repress for the first time. I really love this record, and would likely consider it a top 10 album of all time for me personally. Underrated MVP of this record is always the drumming for me, though the great flaw of the entire thing is the production quality. This pressing sounds solid though.

That is what a reunion is, yes.

 

It definitely has some of those elements and I think it’s a rewarding listen. The closer is stunning.
