Why would you want a brand split? You limit the matchups you could/potentially have. It doesn't make sense from a fans perspective.

 

Which is why you have a draft every year to freshen things up. I was pumped during the early years of the first brand split when a RAW guy would face a SD guy during a BIG 4 PPV that were dual branded. Also when wrestlers invaded the other show, it became a big moment as well. You gotta do it right though.

 

Hopefully the split makes me care about Ziggler again and hopefully this means they will do something meaningful with Corbin.

 

That's how I see it. If they cross over at PPVs there is no chance for feuds to build up if they are completely separated.

 

Limiting matches? You mean less than two months of nothing but Ziggler Corbin?

 

Smackdown live is great, brand split sucksssssssssssss

 

Also the WWE Draft was always one of the most entertaining nights of wrestling in the year for me

 

I think the split actually makes a lot of sense for a variety of reasons, so long as WWE creative actually, you know, gets creative.

- Presumably limits the amount of travel the talent has to do.
- Also lessens the risk of injuries if you're eliminating a night of wrestling from everyone's schedule.
- Matches hopefully will be longer since there are fewer things they need to rush through in order to get everyone TV time

 

How great would it be if they broke up Golden Truth just to bring them back together later?

 

I honestly hope that we get the 2 different World Titles. Think about it, we hate Roman Reigns because he always wins and WWE wants us to believe that he is an underdog but still a top guy. You know who else is like that? You should already know where this is going,


AND HIS NAME IS JOHN CENA!
But seriously, without the brand split bringing two titles we wouldn't have had magical moments like Christian winning the WHC at Extreme Rules (even though his reign was ruined), Mark Henry wouldn't have had the world title while he was doing the Hall Of Pain. The WWE wouldn't have even let CM Punk win MITB once because he wasn't viewed as a top guy, but because they had 2 championships he got to hold MITB twice and win the belt twice because God knows we can't have Cena be successfully cashed in on! (still pissed about the Sandow cash in)

 

PPP for creative.

 

With Cena coming back, I hope we get some Cena/Styles matches. They could be pretty damn good.

Sadly this is true, they need to have some type of huge payoff for him, they really need to. I just don't get why they would pay him this insane amount of money and book him the way they have been.

 

What happens if MITB winner is on SD and the champ is on Raw?

 

The champion could always do both shows.

 

I mean, his matches with Roman were really really good. The accomplished something we haven't really seen much of out of Roman. The problem is that they can't have him winning in the way he does to get the fans on his side.

They could have Kenny Omega, Okada, Hulk Hogan, the ghost of Ultimate Warrior, whoever wrestle the most amazing matches against Roman. If you have him winning the way he does every time, its not gonna work for the crowd.

Having AJ has paid off imo. Maybe not for AJ, but for the WWE. Smarks are gonna watch for the Styles Clash/Bullet Club. They are going to stop watching because of the booking.

 

I bet this will also help to increase ticket sales at SmackDown, which I know have been falling fast. Always weird to see the upper layers tarped off

 

they should really add a women's tag team title

 

The way i'd do it, i'd have the world title be up for grabs on both shows. They work both shows, everyone else stays to their respective brands or whatever.

 

Even better, actually. I think the champ will do both shows, but, if Reigns was restricted to Raw and KO or Wyatt or whoever was on Smackdown, them randomly appearing on RAW to cash in would be kind of incredible. Itd be like a PPV cash-in.

With what women? They dont even have enough women to have RAW and Smackdown splits, let alone tag teams. Im not even sure they could put together 5 legitimate teams right now

 

The Men's tag division has little depth, can't imagine a Women's Tag fairing much better.
