I’m listening to their discography ASAP.
    This is heart-breaking.

He goes on to say that Floating in the Forth is a happy song because he didn’t go through with it, a statement that has aged incredibly poorly in the 24 hours since that was published!

Fuck I’ve been at work all day and only just found out about this. So upsetting.

Hey, I know how much this bands music and Scotts words have meant to myself and others in this thread. I just hope everyone in here is taking care of themselves, I know I've gotten in a pretty dark place over this today so I really just hope everyone is being safe out there

One of my best buds killed himself back in October. I wish my friend could've foreseen how much it would kill us too, not so he'd feel guilty, but so he'd know how loved he was. Please, everyone stay safe.

Never listened to this band but seeing what they mean to so many people on here is really crushing in its own right.

Everyone’s on hold here in Glasgow. Scott is always about, always popping in somewhere to play a set. I just want to know he’s alright. I just want to believe so hard that he took a walk across to Fife and then a bus to the highlands to just have time alone. Even early in the morning there’s cars on Queensferry junction/forth road bridge. Someone would have seen something, right?

  10. Fixed that for you. Still doesn't make it any easier to bear this news in light of his recent comments, tho.

Please be okay. Please just be needing some time alone.

Listened to their albums yesterday and Floating in the Forth crushed me.

Hope he's just clearing his head..

I don’t pray, but I’m doing the closest thing to praying for Scott that I can right now. I wish for nothing more than a safe return home.

I met Scott after their show opening for Death Cab in Toronto in 2011 - what a soft spoken, kind person who just happens to write some of the most heartbreaking music I've ever heard.

The part of me who idolized him musically and lyrically hopes that he won't have to be mourned and missed, because I'd love to hear him sing his writings again. But the part of me that understands his lyrics deeply just hopes he has found peace in whatever form.

"Not Miserable" changed my life for real. Thank you Scott.

I assume he doesn't have his phone with him, otherwise they'd be able to track his phone, right?

I lost my phone about a year ago at a bar and the “track my iPhone” feature still worked, despite the phone being dead.
