I never got into it on the PS2 version, but got REALLY into it on the remaster. Also, Wakka is so much fun to play with once you unlock all his Overdrives and his ultimate weapon by playing blitzball, which made it worth it.

Chocobo racing, on the other hand... Somehow even more infuriating: On my last playthrough of the HD remaster, I could not beat the time needed for the life of me, and my brother did it on his very first attempt. Ridiculous.

Weird, just days after mentioning that she popped an implant while in NXT during our enthralling discussion of implants on the main roster (or was that a Reddit thread?) and it happens again.

That's odd. I remember the chocobo thing being something I got on the first shot. The one that will ALWAYS get me is the lightning strikes. I will never get that shit figured out.

 

I can't tell you how many times I got a time of something like 0.00.02 on Chocobo Racing. Infuriating.

Fuck the lightening strikes. Sorry, Lulu, but it's much easier to just send Yuna or Rikku or even Kihmari into her section of the sphere grid towards the end of the game and just turn them into your black mage.

I did the lightning strikes thing once using the trick where it hits every time you run over a certain crater. Still took me forever.

watching Styles/Jericho/Owens/Cesaro from the post-WM32 Raw rn because of the AJ Styles collection on the Network. what a match. Owens bowing to the crowd at the announcement that Zayn couldn’t compete was perfect, and it was nice for Cesaro to be the “big return” to close the show as opposed to someone like a Lesnar. this was the first match with the tear-off suit.

Yup! I got a DS emulator on my phone and it runs great on it. Play it every now and then, it seems way more in depth than the GBA one, which was pretty deep to begin with.
