as sad as this is, it encouraged me to run through their albums again. such a fantastic band. the run from MOF through PV is perfect.

Doing the same thing today and giving Mastersystem another listen. Interesting Scott said he considers PV their best, I don't disagree but hard to not put MOF at #1.

Painting of a Panic Attack is a wonderful album. Not huge on Get Out, but the rest of that album kills. It’s also maybe their darkest record. Not wild about Aaron Dessner’s production on it, but i still love the record.

    It's all hell.

I've been unhealthily refreshing Twitter all day to see if there have been any updates.

I've found this pretty distressing today. The weird thing is, Frabbit have not been a massive part of my life for the last few years, but Midnight Organ Fight and The Winter of Mixed Drinks were so important to me when they first came out and Scott's lyrics really helped me pull through some really shitty times.

I was gutted to miss the anniversary shows for MOF, and was looking forward to seeing them later this year.

I just hope Scott knows how bloody loved he is.

Ugh the longer this goes on without an announcement that he's okay the more worried I become. Really thought we'd have heard something by now. Was really hoping this was going to be one of those times when it's a misunderstanding and a couple hours later they show up completely fine and unaware people were even worried about them.

Honestly starting to worry this is going to be another situation like the Manics.

Listening through their discography this evening, there's some absolutely horrible lyrics to hear considering the situation. A really hard listen. This band means the world to me, their middle three albums are absolutely essential records to me, each coming at the perfect moment in my life.

I hope this all has a happy ending, and Scott is found and gets the help he needs.

"There was nothing that I wasn’t going to be able to do, but absolutely “Floating in the Forth” was a real tough one. It’s a real thing. It’s a real thought. It’s a thought that I’ve taken to a place that I’m far less comfortable with… I’ve gone 90 percent of the way through that song in real life. But at the same time it’s gratifying. It’s heartening to know that I’ve been through that, and I’m stood there performing that song, alive and feeling good about it. It’s a tough one. My mum and dad were at the show in Glasgow. We can joke about it, but it must be really hard to hear your son sing about that."

Thank you. I know of that band but never knew that story. When I Googled Maniacs I couldn’t find anything.

I keep looking at Facebook and Twitter to see if anything is posted about him. I just want to see that he’s okay. :(

Terrible news. Really hoping for the best here. That mastersystem release is top notch, but it’s got pretty heavy lyrical themes. If he was feeling even half of the things he sang about he must not have been in a good place mentally.
