Zack is a no brainer. I wouldn't be surprised if they had him in the final. This thing seems like it is going to be more of a tryout for a lot of these guys more than anything. If Scurll isn't in the tourney, he should be. Guy could be a top heel for a cruiserweight title.

 

I agree, but it took them less than a year to re-split the undisputed championship

 

i think shane'll run smackdown to give it more juice since it's the show they're trying to revive

 

Brand split will fix a whole lot of problems just from being a thing, but Raw could be fucked staying 3 hours. Hoping they split the ppvs up because monthly shows with everyone is a disaster

 

Please please please let Raw go back to 2 hours.

 

I wonder if this means the return of brand-specific PPVs?

 

I'd appreciate Raw being shorter so I could go to fucking bed at a decent time.

 

They may also do more Network exclusive events with the brand split. I guess they have far more working room with a brand split than when they originally did it but I'm still going to be weary at first. Hopefully they knock it out of the park.

 

Yeah, having more PPV's isn't going to hurt now that it's $10 a month, rather than a full price PPV.

 

Brand exclusive PPVs sucked but I guess the Network could change that. My hunch is that the World, Tag, and Women's titles will be co-branded while the IC and US titles will be split.

 

I think the one huge difference between then and now is SmackDown being Live. I really think that helps legitimize it as a 2nd WWE show as opposed to the B-show.

 

Whoa, crazy news to wake up to. I never liked the brand split but I'm not necessarily opposed to it. We'll see how this shakes out once the draft comes around.

 

There needs to be another title either way. Four (excluding the women's) is not enough.

 

Ideal shakedown would be WWE title and womens title defended across brands, with the tag and US titles on RAW. And IC title as a main smackdown title, with a cruiserweight title being the 2nd title.

Splitting the heavyweight title again would be incredibly stupid, especially since they've spent the last 2 years trying to legitimize Roman as "the guy". Then they make another champ 3 months later?

IIRC it's USA who wants a three hour show so that's not changing anytime soon.

It being live and having Mauro as the lead announcer gives me some confidence at least, and the roster being the deepest it's been in a long time.

Love the idea of just having the US/IC titles exclusive to each show.

 

At least they'll be giving guys an extra day off from taking bumps.

 

Another thing about this change, I know it works best for them scheduling wise but two consecutive days of live WWE wrestling shows every single week, and three consecutive days once a month could be a little overwhelming for people.

 

I honestly love the idea of the brand split now. There are so many guys for them to work with, and a lot of lower card guys will get some tv time now which will be nice. Also the idea of bringing back the cruiser weight title is great. I wouldn't be opposed to there being another tag title, but I think we need a few more teams for that.

Also, I just watched the new Matt Hardy promos...what the hell is up with the accent?
