Uh ilwys is the title track, not The 1975

 

Hubardo by kayo dot and The fragile by nin are double albums that are among my favorite albums ever

 

I guess my larger point is that packaging doesn’t affect how I interpret the art. I absolutely respect an artist delineating how they want their art to be received and interpreted, but using the listening format to do it is weird because based on what format you’re listening (CD, Cd loaded into iTunes, Vinyl, streaming) there are different barriers to how smoothly you can listen to the album anyway.

You can break a project into multiple parts without calling or packaging it as a double album (Danny Brown’s Old comes to mind); therefore I find the distinction useless. I’ll refer back to my Thrice example since that was ignored. It’s literally a double album, but do you think of it as anything other than a 4-part project?

While we're on the subject of arbitrary listening sequences, I sorted by track length and it's actually a pretty interesting way to go. Might try it today.

Guys, I might be onto something; and I might be completely wrong. So there have been questions that the 1975 released things that say both DH000325 and DH000327. I'm thinking one theory could be that DH000325 could be the single we have all been waiting on; and it's probably called "A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships" with the lyrics from that poster. This would come out May 13th because I heard that in the website coding, there's a secret countdown to like 6:56pm on that day or something (thus making it DH000325). Then, I also remember Jamie tweeting that JustBanco has a single being released in May, which would be DH000326; thus the album being DH000327 on June 1.

Orrrr, the May 13th date could be the What A Shame EP/A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships EP because of the fact that Matty tweeted at some point saying we would have some sort of new material before MFC is released.

Like I said, I could be 100% wrong, just researching and theorizing.

 

I think they are hyping an EP release 6/1. Album aint out until near end of the year.

A double album that I adore, before that subject matter gets too far away from me: Biffy Clyro - Opposities.

Also, I wouldn't eliminate a song off ILIWYS. But.... if I HAD to it would be Shes American.

 

This wait is annoying. I'll actually be mad if June 1st is just a single.

 

Why would anyone cut any song from ILIWYS...

 

For some reason every few weeks people talk about what songs they would remove from an album

 

My stance as well. But in this fantasy world where apparently everybody MUST cut a song... who wouldn't just cut the intro
