Mason rudolph will 100% see the field this year.

Naw. They’ll keep Landry as the #2 and then keep him long term so he can be the veteran presence for Mason as he grows.

Rudolph is there to take the torch and Ben thinks he's taking his job hahaha.

I think Edmunds was a massive reach but he's still a really good prospect. I think with Rudolph, Washington, and Allen, the Steelers had a very good draft. The value levels out to 4 rounds of second rounders. That's pretty dope. Excited to see them moving forward.

I agree that Edmunds was a reach. But I think the rest of our draft value was spot on.

Gilbert’s contract is up after this year and I bet they’re hoping on Okafor developing to take his spot. Which I have total faith in as long as Munchack is on staff.

Wait, wasn't Landry Jones haleys guy? Doesn't he have some in with him or am I thinking of someone else?

I read edmunds athletic score was off the charts, he might be less limited than people think

This is so true. He's so cocky about playing hurt and being involved anyway, and that probably won't change cause the Steelers don't tend to miss the playoffs regardless. But it really brings them down when he tries to play at much less than 100% and he does it yearly.

I'm a very big fan of his. I just thought my second round grade for him was higher than most. Evidently not higher than the Steelers haha

They love reaching lol he might not be too different from Davis but much more of a pure athlete as opposed to Davis who was a corner before switching to safety

I don't think anyone realizes the steelers got Karl Dunbar to coach DL, that's a great hire

Keeping your template, but being more strict about who is better than who. I'm also not including rookies.

    RANDALL MENTZOS QB RANKINGS
    ----------------------------
ELITE TIER -- the kind of QB who can be down by 21 points on a heavily injured team and you're still afraid of him.
    1. Tom Brady
    2. Russell Wilson
    3. Drew Brees
    4. Aaron Rodgers
    5. Ben Roethlistberger

(Rodgers hasn't been as comfortable post-Jordy and post injury. Meanwhile, Wilson has gotten so damn good even though the Seahawks roster crumbles around him.)

    ------------------------------
EXCELLENT TIER -- Consistent, broad & adaptable skillset, capable of elite play, but the elites have made plays when it really matters more than these guys.
    6. Phillip Rivers
    7. Jimmy G -- (kinda projecting here. I honestly don't think he slumps. Dude has a complete skillset.)
    8. Carson Wentz -- (we all agree he looked this good basically every game in 2017 before he got hurt.)
    9. Matt Ryan

(Luck would be #7 above Jimmy, but he is a big question mark for me right now. I kinda think he ain't playing anymore. Yeah it's a shame but he's got a life to live and he's already gonna be in some chronic pain probably.)

    --------------------------------
GOOD TIER - definitely a franchise QB. They might flirt with excellent tier / Pro Bowl in their best career years. They also definitely have a couple shitty games per year, and need the right "fit" coaching staff / scheme to play this well.
    10. Jared Goff
    11. Cam Newton
    12. Alex Smith
    13. Kirk Cousins
    14. Matthew Stafford
    15. Ryan Tannehill
    16. Case Keenum

    -------------------------------
AVERAGE TIER - good enough to be hard to replace, not good enough (yet? anymore?) to be the reason you win. Must at least show decent pocket awareness / footwork, ability to notice & check out of bad looks, ability to anticipate a throw occasionally.
    17. Deshaun Watson
    18. Derek Carr
    19. Jameis Winston
    20. Blake Bortles
    21. Andy Dalton
    22. Joe Flacco
    23. Dak Prescott
    24. Eli Manning

    ---------------------------------
BELOW AVERAGE TIER - I don't really like these QB for various reasons, but they can manage a game in a pinch as long as the TEAM is overall winning / outplaying the other team.
    25. Nick Foles
    26. Mitch Trubisky
    27. Sam Bradford
    28. Marcus Mariota
    29. Tyrod Taylor
    30. Josh McCown

    ---------------------------------
BAD TIER - get this guy off the field ASAP.
    31. AJ McCarron
    32. Jacoby Brissett

  21. Jimmy G better perform well because the hype he’s getting is insane. I know he’s looked great but people are putting massive expectations on him. He’s had a very fortunate career so far. Playing behind Brady, under McDaniels and then being traded to Shanahan.

Like, if I'm Chicago and I'm trying to think long-term, I might prefer Josh Rosen. Trading up when you already have a young guy is one thing, but he just fell past them this draft. I might have at least brought him in to compete with Trub and in 2 years decided whether Trub gets that big contract or not.

Idk. Trubisky is slow and awkward about everything. You're hoping he gets a lot better than he is. Right now he's just constantly really obvious about what he's gonna do with the ball.

But then again the Jags never replaced Bortles when he was awful... and that took some serious patience, but now he might be a plausible franchise QB since we gave him some stability (knock on wood).
