Well, at least I have new albums today from Frank Turner, Mat Kearney and Jon Hopkins to tide me over until they eventually release something.

 

Does anyone have the ILIWYS box set? Is it worth it?

 

It’s nice

 

It definitely looks nice but idk... $200 was a lot to spend. There’s not a ton of stuff in it that I revisit frequently besides the actual vinyl album. (Who am I kidding I’ll prob do it again in a heartbeat.)

 

I’d argue it was definitely overpriced, but it’s a nice little package. The pink plastic box could’ve maybe been ditched though, as everything else in there is done really well. If that was 50 quid I’d have been happier, but it was 75 in the U.K. 200 dollars is a bit much. I panic bought it the second I could because it was advertised as super limited, yet it was still available months ago haha.

 

Between this and Now, Now’s new album, these next few months are going to be brilliant for music. It’s been a while since I’ve been this excited for music. Hoping for something ambient and depressing with the upcoming record.

 

Iliwys is in a tie for favorite album for me but I felt no compulsion to get the box. Hopefully mfc has cool packaging

 

Damn. It’s probably a countdown to another teaser :(

It’s $125 on their website but I’ll probably just get the standard vinyl and preorder whatever special edition they release for this new one.

Picked up ILIWYS on vinyl! Funny enough, I had to ask if they had it and apparently it just came in on yesterday’s shipment.

 

Really boring story. Just excited to finally have a 1975 record lol.

 

God, this is too accurate

 

One time I bought a ticket to see them and I was over the moon excited. Then, one rainy afternoon when I was bedridden with the flu (& on the same day Trump was inaugurated), I got an email that it was cancelled. Needless to say it wasn't the best day the universe has ever thrown at me and I am hellbent on seeing them this cycle.
