Yeah it really flew by, didn't feel it's length at all.

    YES to both of these!

My favorite movies that came out last year were Get Out and The Florida Project, but I'm obviously going to approach a Marvel movie or a Star Wars movie differently. I love terrific acting and a brilliant screenplay more than anything else, but I also like well-made blockbusters that have a way of making me feel like a kid again.

But on the flip side, I agree that this movie was a huge accomplishment in general and should not have worked to the measure that it does. And it's far more emotional and weighty than any MCU movie before it.

I will say, though, as much as I liked this movie we all know what the best blockbuster of 2018 is ultimately going to be. My most-anticipated movie of the summer by far. It'll be...Cruise-ing into theaters on July 27.

I actually agree with most of this and I still loved IW.

One thing I'm curious about are the folks bringing up Thor getting an eye back in this. I didn't really see any profound backdrop to him losing it in Ragnarok to point to IW and say that Rocket giving him that was cheap. I guess there's the loss argument that Thor lost many things in Rag but I'd put that at the end of the list compared to losing his father, his homeworld and his hammer. I guess I just felt no weight behind that moment because all it lead to was a throwaway line about "ugh now you really look like dad."... and I guess losing an eye kind of sucks.

Hahaha, I'm stoked for Fallout too man. I believe the first thing I posted in the thread for that film was that it wouldn't shock me if they show Ethan in space

Well, they are deliberately keeping the finale set piece top secret because it's apparently completely insane. So I'm saying there's a chance.

The best comic book film of the year has a good chance of being Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

    Just saying.

I think they meant “full story” as watching all of the different characters start their journey and finally come together over the same threat.

Do y’all think the next movie picks up immediately or do you think there will be some kind of time jump?

The problem with this movie, and most of these movies are the fight scenes honestly. I was here for the banter, but every fight scene was the exact same... got old after a while. It's how I felt about Homecoming... everything in between the spider-man scenes were great.
