Yeah the Titans added Evans and Landry, that's dope as hell. Butler doesn't scare me but it's an improvement. The Texans meanwhile have to prove they even know how to use the talent they acquired.

 

Yup that's extremely important. There's no telling if Colvin or Mathieu will be utilized correctly.

 

They signed two guards and drafted a tackle

 

I'm not expecting Watson to play at that level again. But hes still probably gonna end up as the best AFCS QB. And he has some weapons.

 

All I know for a fact is that Watson will be exciting to watch and that alone has me happy

Also, Watson made a lot of big plays but he’s a high risk high reward style. He could throw a high number of touchdowns AND interceptions.

 

We also did have an insane schedule last year

AFCS with Jags being the Jags, only Watson game being vs TEN
AFCN with Watson only being there for CLE/CIN
NFCW with Jimmy G in the Niners game, SEA fully healthy there in the Seahawks game
Pats and Chiefs

So us looking like a much better team is possible

If Watson is half the player he was last year he'll throw for 22 tds and 17 picks on 3000 yards. Thats close to Bortles numbers and they just made the AFCCG

That's true but that's also factoring in that the 50/50 balls he was throwing were to Deandre Hopkins

It's a combination of him taking advantage of our WRs intelligently and our WRs bailing him out

I didn't say they didn't try haha. Just that they didn't fill the hole with talent. Rankin maybe but I do not like him at left tackle.

 

It was cited in a subtweet from Mike Garafolo this morning. It sounds like whatever injury he sustained occurred from something extracurricular that he probably shouldn't have been doing. I'm just putting the pieces together. Why else would he agree to just sign away 11M in guaranteed money in exchange for 3M this year and nothing else going forward?

It sounds as if the Eagles had a valid case to cut him with no money changing hands and so he agreed to a small base with a chance to prove he can be full strength again later in the season and force the teams hand on the three year options going forward.

There are arguments for all 3 teams. It’ll be a fun divisional race for sure. I just picked Titans because I liked their draft lol we’ll see what happens.

That comparison is misleading. Bortles went 21-13 for 3700 not including playoffs. That's a lot better than 21-17 for 3000. Its not a stellar year but its decent numbers

I'm not sure that's true. He didn't hurt more than he hurt. That's definitely true.

 

Jags getting Norwell is huge. Their OL should be very solid. Which obviously helps Bottles. But his receivers got worse. I know they have Chark but I don’t see him making a huge impact year one. And I don’t know if Bottles is the right QB for him. But the defense will be great again. And the running game should be dominant.

 

I think Bortles is a good QB for Chark. Chark suffered through Etling, he'll thrive with Blatles. Lee is shit though. Moncrief may be a better fit than him.

 

Wait also fuck you, they switched out Hurns for Moncrief and Chark, they got better.

 

A big test will be seeing how Keelan Cole does now that people know who Keelan Cole is

Also whether or not Corey Davis will make a jump in his second year like Hopkins did
