Titans are so not winning the AFCS

I could see both Houston and Tennessee making the playoffs.

 

I could also see the Titans winning the AFC South.

 

Trusting Okung & Barksdale to protect a 36-year-old Rivers from the AFC West pass rushers is bold.

 

Houston is entirely dependent on what the cause of the defensive decline was: Vrabel or the players themselves.

If the former, they can win the division easily.

If the latter, they can miss the playoffs easily.

 

Nah. They aren't the most talented or the most well coached team in the division, not by a longshot

 

The Chargers were close to a playoff team last year despite being destroyed by injuries.

I agree that the Chargers Achilles heel is that O Line. They can finally run block but lets just say they're lucky they have a QB who is easily top 3 in terms of, who makes decisions and gets rid of the football the fastest

 

I think their Achilles heel is literally their Achilles heel.

 

So they ain't winning the division. They'll get outplayed and outcoached by more teams than the Jags and Texans. Simple.

 

That's not how it works at all haha. You don't have to be the best team in the division to actually win the division. So much could happen. Titans are 150 percent a better overall team than the Texans yet you think the Texans are finishing above them.

 

Eh. OL is the weakest part of the team easily.

I don't agree they are better than the Texans haha. I think Watson is back and I think they got certainly better this offseason despite no first or second.

Texans added a ton of talent and JJ Watt + Watson come back. They might be bettr than then titans

 

Hey now just because the Jaguars can't beat the Titans doesn't mean no other team in the division can

 

Expecting Watson to play at that level again is setting the bar very high. And I like what the Titans did in the draft. Their pass rush could be quite good.

 

And also honestly I do think after 16 games, generally the best team wins the division, unless they suffer long injuries to multiple really significant plauers (or the QB). A lot can happen in a few weeks yeah. Over a whole season? Your team likely performed about as well as they should have, depending on the quality of their depth and coaching adjustments. A lot of variables balance out over a whole season cause every team goes through similar rigors and adversity.

 

Houston is good on paper, but unless Watt plays more than 6 games and Watson avoids the second year drop off, that’s a 6 win team

 

The talent they added was not offensive line related, so I'm not too worried. Also, Watson was playing at an unsustainable level. He may not even be the same player again.

 

He wasnt that great but he was significantly better than Tom Savage and TJ Yates lol

As far as Watson goes I'll believe he can do good things until he doesn't anymore because every moment last year where I was like "Okay this game will be his down to earth moment" he shut me the hell up hahaha
