I feel like the first three songs are really strong then from Old Wounds onwards it's just fuckin great, surprised you didn't like at least DVP if you liked the second half haha

I preferred DVP to If This Tour, but yeah Old Wounds til the end is good. But I don't like the closer

  5. God, I love the closer so much haha a perfect ending to the album imo

Wish they did the same as Hotelier and release this on Bandcamp same time as the stream...Familiar Patterns is my jam but need it in decent quality

Just gave this a listen finally. Fantastic album, even better than their debut.

This has been my running soundtrack every day since the stream went up. It's a lot of fun.

I did not know about his vocal chords. Does that mean he's just gonna keep doing this until he literally can't anymore? Or does he plan to take it a little bit easier?

Also, definitely enjoying this more than The Hotelier. Though they really aren't comparable.

Need to resist singing the chorus of Familiar Patterns in public because it is the catchiest thing I've heard all year!

im actually not sure. i hardly think he just said "fuck it." Im sure some sort of treatment was hammered out, i think it's just that one dr they saw was very YOU WILL NEVER SING AGAIN. I think they got a second opinion.

Yeah, they at least dropped off the rest of that tour because of it so there was probably some sort of treatment involved.

    Great review by the way!

Great review except for the bit where you said Old Wounds was the only OK song on here

    Which is so very wrong

    In my opinion ofc

EXCEPT MY SUBJECTIVE OPINION IS CLEARLY OBJECTIVE FACT

I basically binged If This Tour Doesn't Kill You and DVP back to back for hours yesterday and today.

I understand the reasoning some of you have behind believing If this tour is cringe worthy because of it's lyrical content, but I also feel like it wouldn't have been a successful song otherwise. I mean, when capturing anger in lyrics, it's all about what's in the moment right? How does someone feel in the moment that they are angry. I know it's not the same for everyone, but when I'm angry, my thought's are literally as blunt as possible with little to no metaphorical interpretation needed. I'm sure that this song was written with those in-the-moment thoughts as a basis. Whether those thoughts were written subconsciously or not is a different story.

    That makes sense right?

Didn't know Sleep In The Heat was about his pet chameleon. Damn, that song is sad!

Just saw this. Glad I was able to expose a few people back then. Crazy how big they've gotten since August. The tide was already shifting big time with them around then but it's exploded since then.

How good is the chorus of Familiar Patterns?

I thought it was about a friend who killed themselves when I first started making out the lyrics, so the song felt a lot less sad to me when I found that out lol but still sad.
