The First Avenger is flawed but a more than decent introductory characterization for Steve Rogers and its straightforward patriotism “fits” the era and plays in nicely to Winter Soldier giving him an awakening. But I wouldn’t defend it as a particularly good movie on its own.

Ed Norton lost the cushy Marvel job because he's a fucking prick and kept yelling at everyone on set, good actor shitty person

Cap 1 at least has the fun, corny retro aesthetic and Red Skull going for it. (Man, I loved seeing Red Skull in Infinity War.) Plus, Hayley Atwell; Agent Carter was so underappreciated.

I just love and will forever champion Iron Man 3.

You should watch Isle Of Dogs. I know he only did voice acting it in, but he did a great job.

  8. I still kinda find it hilarious that :cap: just flat out throws dudes out of a plane. It's so light hearted as he just murders the shit out of those guys.

I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I love this look.

I literally don't remember almost anything about him other than what he looked like and his interest in sci-fi tech, but man, movies deciding to actually look like comic books is 100% my jam.

I like Cap 1 because I like WW2 films. Red Skull is a generic villain but I like Hugo Weaving.

I legitimately love this movie. Just have him play Memphis Raines again. He can be someone's long-lost cousin or something.

I only feel strongly about the top 8. 9-11 are fine, 12 on are varying levels of garbage.

Ive never been a comic book person which means i view the movie adaptations without a backdrop other than the 90's cartoons.

I dont know how to feel about Infinity War. It was flawed no doubt but i think its because a payoff never comes that its hard to judge without seeing avengers 4. If avengers 4 is well done then i can see the combined feature being a favourite. If it falls flat it will also impact my view of infinity war.

I do think that Thor and Guardians stole the show. And brolin was good. I was nervous about Thanos.

I struggle so much to rank these movies but my favourites so far have been:
-Civil War - best by a country mile if you ask me
    -Guardians 1
    -Iron Man 1
    -Ragnarok
    -Winter Soldier

I think ill probably zone out a bit after this phase is wrapped up. I think im full of my share of comic/superhero movies and i dont see how they can take it to another level. I'll still watch when they make it onto streaming services but probably wont go to the cinema.

Civil War is pretty low for me mostly because it shouldn't have been named that. I think that really ruined the experience for me. I was expecting A or B or even C and somehow got Q instead. It's a misleading title. Should have just been called Winter Soldier 2 or something.

And I'll definitely be zoning out after this phase. Infinity War actually gave me superhero fatigue. It was too predictable and it was a lot of what we've seen and come to expect from these characters. Also, knowing Spider-Man, Black Panther and others come back because they have sequels lined up was a major bummer.
