And Iron Man 2 is better than:

14. Captain America: The First Avenger
16. Iron Man 3
17. Thor
18. The Incredible Hulk
19. Thor: The Dark World

.... for sure. Maybe Ultron could be above it, but that's iffy.

 

Other than Captain America, my ranking reflects this as well.

 

I rewatched Ultron with my Mom last week (we’re getting her caught up, she’s like nine movies behind haha) and enjoyed it while it was on. But immediately after it ended I was like, “Yeah, ok. That’s not nearly as good as I remember.”

 

It's definitely not better than Iron Man 3 or The First Avenger. That's a joke.

 

Still don't understand the hate for Iron Man 3, but cool

 

I feel the same about that one as I do Thor 3. Cap 2 made that character for me. I really didn't like Cap 1. The flaws in that one were too big to ignore for me. I think Thor 1, 2, Hulk, and Cap 1 are the only MCU movies I never watch. I don't even think I have them on Plex.

 

I’d say that 13-16 range on my list is pretty interchangeable depending on taste and preferences. Large chunks of all of these lists have been like that.

 

Nah. Iron Man 3 is a garbage movie and Cap 1 is full of stupid plot holes, boring, and the military sucks.

 

I agree with that Cap 1 had a lot of flaws and the giant montage are the end made it feel pretty hollow.

 

Yep. It's basically what you gotta do with things like this.

 

People are just still mad about the Ben Kingsley stuff. It’s not a bad movie.

 

Hot take: Edward Norton was much better as Bruce Banner and Ruffalo is pretty bad in these. And i say this as a Ruffalo fan

 

I disagree. I think he's pretty good, but I think they aren't giving him a lot to work with.

 

Not all of IM3 was trash, but shit reallllllly fell off a cliff in the last half hour or so for me there

 

I can’t remember anything about IM2, which means it’s better than IM3, because it doesn’t haunt me everyday

I think it's fine (mostly because I like Evans in the role and Atwell), but it is rough and bit too "oorah" for me these days. Agreed that Winter Soldier definitely gave that character more depth and purpose.

 

My Mom is already “mad” at Civil War based on the name (we should watch it on Friday), so I can only imagine how much she’s gonna be angry at the end of this one.

I like having event movies with her. We haven’t had any since Hunger Games ended.

 

Haha i love that movie but this scene will never not make me laugh. It’s so out of place haha

 

Ruffalo in the first Avengers movie is the best live-action cinematic Hulk performance we’ve gotten. Ed Norton is a great actor but I honestly can’t even remember if I’ve seen that movie.

 

Well the movie is forgettable but i like him in the role alot

 

I like Ruffalo in the role, but he did seem off in Infinity War. Edward Norton is one of my favorite actors though, and I wish he was more active these days.
