You missed Hawthorne heights discussion

 

Im anticipating a new single this thursday or friday. Solely based on that it has been a month since BTD released and that this weekend is the unofficial official start to Summer.

 

Yeah, I'm really hoping/thinking they'll release a new one before xgames, June 2 seems possible.

 

I think if it were any other band, I'd find it pretty blah, but Blink being from the state and a band that kind of, for me, embodies that sunny, pop-punk summer sound (or at least did in years past) makes it a good choice, IMO.

 

Yea definitely this or next week.

 

Yeah they're really missing the boat if they don't put out a new song within the week.

Haha that's what I thought, but no way, he was your typical punk/scene kid growing up. Plus he was drumming on stage, so he'd look out and catch eyes with a scene/punk girl and he would know it was getting on later in the night.

I haven't finished the book, but I'm definitely not hating on him like some of the people in this thread. Just because he was dropping skirts doesn't make me jealous enough to hate on a good guy.

I don't mind if he's getting the ladies. But I prefer if it's done in a non braggy way. The Kiedis book was very much done in that way where you didn't think less of the bloke, so that's it's more amusing and titilating.
I need to read Travis book but sounds like he might do it in a cringey way.

I didn't take it as him bragging. I mean, whenever a guy talks about girls they've gone through it seems braggish. But he's simply telling his history. Life for him was drums, skateboarding, school, and girls.
He did mention meeting Gwen Stefani as kids and he was all about it but didn't have an "in" to talk to her because he didn't have a lighter. That was a little braggy because he said he was into her before the rest of the world was .

I'll get back to the book sometime, but it wasn't gripping material.

 

But I mean, Blink has never had great album titles right? Whether you're looking at the serious ones or the joke ones.

When do y'all think reviews will start coming out? And are any staff members going to tackle it? It'd be cool for Jason to do it, I think it's an important enough record for him to review for the site

 

Don't plan on reading reviews, at least not until long after the record is out and I've had time to digest it.

I think the hate was coming from him knowingly hooking up with married women and cheating on his wife, but I haven't read the book yet so I don't know what the actual story is.
