Matt is in all the promo for Vegas. He's still in blink lol

 

Any credibility I had in denying that I am a fanboy goes out the window with the announcement of a Mark Hoppus POP figure. Give me that.

 

I'll only buy one if Skeebs gets one.

I wouldn't want a Matt one unless it was branded under Alk3 and he was spooky

 

Tom is "in blink", lol. As far as I'm concerned, Feldy might as well be. My comment was directed at the whole POP thing. I'd imagine official merch won't include Skiba, because he's a hired member, not a permanent member.

Never said Skiba didn't write anything on California. But I don't think it's too far of a reach to consider Skiba what he is, a hired gun. Blink-182 is Mark & Travis at this point, regardless of musical contribution. I guess I don't know why thats a point of contention.

Edit: and I certainly don't think Skiba will be around for the long run. Maybe another album or so, but eventually blink will hang it up or bring Tom back. I know that's not popular in this thread, but that's what I think will happen.

 

Their merch is so fucking ugly.

 

I mean this isn't like Good Charlotte where 80% of their promo photos over the years don't have a drummer in them lol

 

The ones I posted are particularly egregious. They look like bootleg designs.

 

I made a general comment speculating why their might not be a Skiba POP, based on current happenings (writing/demoing without him.) I'm not versed in blink's merch, I don't buy it, I wouldn't wear it. I have always thought (and still think) that Skiba was a hired gun. It's not that big of a deal.

 

i've hated Blink's merch ever since the initial reunion. the best merch was the very first shirt design of the chrome smiley logo that they released after the announcement. everything that came after that (including album covers and merch designs) have sucked.

 

I liked the California album cover, but honestly, they could have taken any piece of that guy's art and slapped a "blink-182" on it and called it done. It all looks the same and he's basically used those same characters in other things.

 

I think it would have worked better as a photo of it painted on the side of a wall/building like most of his stuff too

 

There's a couple of shirts that are super cool that they've done post reunion. I thought the DED artwork was alright as well.

 

I liked and picked up this shirt when it was released but 99% of their merch is unwearable it's so ugly

 

The artwork that looks like it was slapped together 30 seconds before they released it? haha nahhhhhh...

Okay, maybe I forgot the font and the title. But the main image is okay enough for me. To each their own I suppose aha.

Anyone acting like Matt Skiba's role is any different than how most other large bands operate is nuts. Trying to degrade his role in the band and pretend he's not an "official member" is just gross. Being hired to be play a band doesn't make you not a member of the band, it's literally how bands work.
