Yup. He was great but a team with so many expensive vets needs to keep their punter on a cheap rookie contract. Easier player to replace than others.

Edelman, Hogan, Matthews, Mitchell, Patterson, Britt, Berrios, Dorset at WR

On any other team that’s poopy. But Brady will destroy everyone with that around him.

 

It makes me sad that between Wynn, Andrews, Michel, and Mitchell, they’re basically UGA - North now

 

Yeah this offense on paper does not get me all excited and is def poopy, but obviously this depth chart doesn't include the key aspect of the offense the TE.

 

Edelman, Hogan, Berrios will eat up the short and intermediate routes. Patterson will have a few deep plays but teams will have to respect his speed every time he’s out there. Britt is the vet who will just be a solid guy to go to. Matthews and Dorsett are whatever but they’re solid as the 10th option in the passing game. None of this includes the RBs who have proven to be effective in the passing game. And then there’s Gronk.

 

does Berrios even make the team? How many WR are they going to keep?

 

Yeah it will definitely all go smoothly as long as Brady is there, but it definitely doesn't sound flashy or too exciting on paper. Losing Amendola is honestly the only player I'll miss. He is as clutch as it comes. They always make it work with whoever is playing. Dude was throwing to Matthew Slater in the AFC championship game years back, haha.

One person not listed who I hope comes back strong is Malcom Mitchell. He was great 2 seasons ago and if he's healthy and can connect with Brady that is a whole different game.

I don’t think Matthews or Dorsett are guaranteed spots either. I’d guess the final spots come down to those two and Berrios.

Hogan is actually kind of a deep threat. He’s bigger than Edleman is. More of a red zone target, I guess

I don't think Gus got enough credit last year, maybe half their d won't get injured in the first 4 games next season

 

Gus is a very good defensive mind. Him and Lynn are gonna be a strong duo for a while. I say for a while because he is a disastrously bad head coach haha. Great defensive mind though.

Go Gus Bradley. Love that defense they are building. Nwosu / Ingram / Bosa / Liuget pass rushing, Verrett / Hayward / Derwin in the secondary. Getting pretty damn scary

 

They’ll still be down by one possession late in the 4th with no timeouts and have to go length of the field. Chargers purgatory.
