I mean I think it’s only fair if we’re gonna judge him off a few short tweets (which is fine) to also give him the time of day to explain stuff like a human. Not saying all the tweets are ok, just saying stuff gets misunderstood, misconstrued, over twitter/text. Just my take, throw it out if you want.

In that behind the scenes video with TI he says he doesn't agree with most of what Donald Trump says, but he's a fan of his because he's a symbol of a change in politics and self marketing (I'm paraphrasing here).
All he has to do is just say that on twitter and denounce what Trump stands for. But I think he just loves pissing people off.

 

He said he has never done therapy, hes uses 'The World' as therapy. I think that is definitely an issue.

I mean it’s been pretty clear that he thinks nothing about trumps policies, just sees a brash asshole disrupting political conventions with his massive ego and thinks wow I could do that too. He has no awareness that trump’s policies and rhetoric are so embedded in hate and racism, as well as corruption, that people won’t fuck with any alignment with trump, especially when he doesn’t even attempt to explain himself against these policies and hateful rhetoric.

 

I’m saying tweets and texts in general can be misconstrued. So I’m going to give Kanye West, the artist that has put out 8 records that have affected me deeply over the course of my life, the time of day to say what he has to say in an interview.

And if you have problem with that too bad.

I typed up a big long thing about how I still have hope and that I feel that he's just getting his point across in horrible ways and that he will clarify everything and then I think of the Trump retweets and the MAGA hat and I realize it's not really worth it. He's on some dumb shit and I hope he makes up for it.

I think a lot of this comes back to Obama's jackass comment, and his exclusion of him from that level of Kendrick and Jay who go to the whitehouse, and how that relates to how Kanye feels he was similarly treated in fashion (which is the only message of New Slaves imo, much as we wanted to pretend there was an underlying wokeness), and then Trump is all of those people getting proven wrong, winning despite all the same people trying to exclude him.
