The article states that he can't provide yet he can bend reality in order to do so? Wouldn't think just be an illusion since the stones wouldn't be able to create real sustenance?

I took it as just that she's the most powerful being he's aware of and realizes that the Earth needs her to return from wherever she is out in space to help out.

Maybe this is all happening inside a soul stone and she somehow knows that?

  6. Initially I didn't tag because it is pretty much speculation with little context, then I tagged it to be extra safe lol.

I think the problem isn't just that there's finite resources but also finite space. If he provided enough food for everyone it still wouldn't solve the problem of overcrowding. In fact it would make it worse. Although then I guess the retort would be "why not also expand the universe?" To which I'd just say he's become unhinged in his obsessive pursuit of his mission/worldview and hasn't even considered any other options beyond this one.

  11. Hmmmmmmmmm.

It's a comic book movie, so, fine, pass ... but ... we don't even know if this is true for our real universe. We have no idea what's past something like 90 billion light years. (Which, is pretty close to infinite to be honest.) There's speculation that it could just go on forever.

I wonder if Avengers 4 will be sort of a butterfly effect movie. Where they go back in time and defeat Thanos in NY so everything after never happened.

Like I said, the retort would be "why not also expand the universe?" To which I'd just say he's become unhinged in his obsessive pursuit of his mission/worldview and hasn't even considered any other options beyond this one. It might be a cop-out but it's good enough for me.

Yes. It will probably be the last time we see Loki.

This sounds like the most likely scenario right now.

As someone who's never read the comics -- what makes her so much more special/powerful than any of the other Avengers?

  19. Story needs us to keep getting stronger and stronger beings after you have someone like Doctor Strange who can just change time/wipe people's minds/do whatever the story needs. Heh.

We don't exactly know the extent of her abilities in the MCU but in the comics she has had a ton of crazy powers. She has a lot of Superman-type abilities (strength, flight, can survive in space, etc.) but she has had periods of time where she can do things like travel at light speed all on her own and absorb/control different kinds of energy. But we don't know, I'm just assuming it because there's no other reason I can think of for him to have contacted her like that in response to what was going on. Like a "they're gonna need all the help they can get"-type scenario.

Funny you compare her to Superman, when she's very similar to WW.

So the MCU has already become Dragon Ball Z lol

Can Wonder Woman survive in space? I'm not really up on Wonder Woman in the comics. Also not every version of WW can fly, right?

Also I said she had "some Superman-type abilities," not that she was exactly like him. She's a way better character than Superman overall.

  24. It's the inevitable flaw in so many comics. It's why so many resets happen and also why I love the smaller stories. Once you're jumping between time/space/dimensions ... le sigh.
