Here's the thing, I agree with nearly all of this. I guess you're optimistic about how much this country can change. It won't happen in our lifetime, I don't think. I think we're on the bad end of a bell curve with regards to how much motivation and proclivity to change we have in this country.

i think with regards to the teachers strikes, women's march, student walkouts, etc we are seeing increased political involvement and class consciousness which, if we take advantage of this moment in time, can fundamentally alter the political landscape. Maybe we won't full on buck capitalism and our failed democratic republic, but i think we'll see something great come out of this.



or maybe we won't. I'm not an optimist either but god damn I want to see it happen so bad haha
