A theory I've been thinking about is that Cap is in a position where he's the only one who is able to save the day, so he puts on the gauntlet and snaps everyone back, but because he's only human his body can't handle the strain of using the gauntlet and it kills him.

That'd be a satisfying death for him, to me. But that's just a guess.

 

That would be neat. I could see Drax maybe doing it to finally avenge his wife and daughter instead

 

Think Cap and Iron Man will die in the next movie and think it's the right thing to do.

 

1. I would say that’s fair but all movie they referred to what Thanos was doing as “killing half the population” they very specifically describe it as killing people so that’s where your brain goes lol

That could happen, but I think since it's generally expected that Steve is going to die in the next one, he makes more sense.

 

I liked @Anthony_ 's idea, if they want to have weight to a decision, it would have to be Cap over someone like Drax.

 

Which is definitely a good idea.

 

I get that, but I also think there's things Thanos doesn't fully understand about the stones too. Just spinfoiling that aspect, but it would make sense to me.

 

Yeah straying from the comics made this movie better. Thanos' motivation in the film is way stronger than the Mistress Death stuff and makes him a far more compelling character, in my opinion.

Definitely. The Mistress Death stuff is corny and only belongs in a comic book.

 

Since Hulk and Thor have become friends I don't think we will see Hulk return until he witnesses either Thor dying or just being pummeled by Thanos. Could this maybe also trigger some sort even more extreme version of the hulk? I don't know if that really exists in the comics I don't follow them.

I think one way or another, something happens to one of the OG Avengers and brings the Hulk back out. Maybe Natasha...

 

so glad we don't have to wait another 3 years for the next one.

I wonder how soon they start ramping up advertising for it. I doubt they'd wait all the way until after Capt Marvel, maybe around the holidays this year?

 

But is the gauntlet and all the infinity stones not destroyed? It sure looked like it after the snappening.

 

I think we will get the title after the Bluray release, if I were a betting man. Then a trailer around holidays, but who knows with how AMAW/Captain Marvel could tie into it.

 

The Gauntlet looks damaged but the stones are fine. The truth is, we don't know what the current state of the Gauntlet is, but I'm willing to bet it either still works or (theory) Dinklage will need to fix it/make another one.

AMATW is probably not going to have anything to do with this until, as has been said in this thread before, the post-credits scene, where it'll probably show Scott and/or Hope and/or Hank disintegrating. Whoever is left will help out in A4.

As for Captain Marvel, because it takes place in the '90s it sounds like it'll be purely an origin story with maybe some minimal references to the Stones or to Thanos. Maybe a post-credits scene that pays off the IW post-credits scene.

As for the title, I'm betting we learn it at D23.

 

I thought that one was, like, a prototype or a mold or something? It could've just been the light but for some reason it looked like it was made of stone to me, or like some non-gold metal.

 

I wish I was excited even a little bit for Ant Man. first one did nothing for me and I don't expect to like the next one.

 

I’m looking forward to it because I love Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly, but not like crazy hyped for it obviously.

How are people still spoiler tagging? Sheesh.

Anyways, I feel like the sequel is called "Avengers: Disassembled." Or maybe "Avengers: The End." But I don't think it'll be a big deal, whatever it is.

And, I could see them just not saying the name, or any updates, until they drop the first trailer this fall.
