If The National’s plan is to do Homecoming Festival in Cinci and There’s No Leaving Mew York in NYC every year from now on, that’s pretty dope.

 

Honestly I would feel cheated if Cincy got 2 headlining sets and we only get 1

 

Mad to think I've had my ticket for Dublin Night 2 since literally the day they went on sale and the show's not for another 9 weeks. Fuck.

 

As a Cincinnati resident who often feels flyover country loses out on the good shit...., just let us have one thing. Lol

 

It’s confirmed they are playing both nights in NY. Thank God I didn’t pull the trigger on flights to Cincy!!

Squalor Victoria Live is incredible. Several people around me we're saying wow that's incredible after that performance. Better than the album version by far.

 

Man I am so excited to see them at MOPOP. I saw them at the first Eaux Claires but I really didn't "get" them at that point.

 

Squalor Victoria easily been my favorite live song on theirs. It needs to be a staple in their set list.

 

I’m happy Boxer Live exists if only to have quick access to a live version of Squalor Victoria.

I would say my favorites from the weekend other than The National: Father John Misty (FANTASTIC live had my step dad in tears), Alvvays, and Big Thief. Everyone was great tho. Anyone else there?

 

I already gushed in the thread for his album but Moses Sumney was the non-National highlight for me. Aromanticism was the best kind of surprise for me last year and I had hyped this set up a lot in my head and it still exceeded expectations.

Hadn't heard anything about it prior but they sent out a survey today implying this would be a yearly thing which makes me very very happy. This fest will be a staple for me

 

I agree with ya. I gotta imagine High Violet will be played in full at either next year or the year after if they continue it beyond next year which sounds like its happening. I'd love if they could get Bon Iver to maybe headline night 1.

 

Squalor Victoria live and Vanderlyle live are so fucking great. Great album songs but my god they are life-changing experiences at a show.
