I recommended it to my boss (who loves westerns) but didn’t like how the dog died :(

Watching Suspiria for the first time was a near-spiritual experience

I haven’t seen suspiria either, but now I’m super down and excited to check it out. Also, that scene they described from the footage shown of the remake sounds gnarly

I can't remember if I've seen suspiria but I suspect the fact that I can't remember means I haven't. If it doesn't have an f-list actor douching around I prob haven't seen it!!

highly recommend either purchasing or finding a rip of the Synapse restoration for Suspiria. It is the most gorgeous thing ever.

My girlfriend's first time seeing it was last year when we saw it in a theater. I was jealous.

I watched Downrange on Shudder last night. Fun movie, swing and a miss on the ending, but I think I've talked about the type of endings I prefer for my horror, final girl or good guys winning so others might feel differently about it.

I have a fascination of knowing what happens in these movies, but I can never bring myself to watch them. I'm still trying to get myself to watch RAW after seeing the trailer before Logan last year. That fucked me up.

I get that with some movies!! I listen to Faculty of Horror for stuff I want to hear discussed intelligently but am too much of a weenie to watch. (See: Martyrs)

  14. Martyrs is one of my all-time favorite horror movies now, but it fucked me up the first time I watched it. I introduce my friend to a lot of horror movies, but I've yet to show her Martyrs 'cause I'm like "You might hate me for showing you this movie" lol.

Not technically horror but I had to stop We Need To Talk Anout Kevin halfway through just to reset myself and I took a walk. I finished it when I came back. If I had watched it after the Sandy Hook school shooting (I grew up in a town next door), I don’t think I would have been able to sit through it.

I read Alex West’s book on the new French extremity films and put myself in a pickle because it made me want to watch all of them and I know I am not strong enough lol

  17. If you're squeamish, it definitely tough ha. I had a phase where I sought out a lot of extreme horror, the new wave of French extreme being a part of it, and I came away from a lot of them feeling empty. Some of them were just really hard to sit through. Others like Martyrs or Frontiere(s), while also very gruesome and problematic in some ways, still hold merit to me. I would imagine that watching Inside (À l'intérieur) as a woman is much more horrifying than my experience watching it, and I was terrified.

My Mother works with elderly people and asked me recently for a thriller to show them because they're bored of typical elderly people films. I suggested Get Out and apparently most of then loved it. But one women moaned that it wasn't "age appropriate" :crylaugh:

Love Suspiria, not too keen on finding out Chloe Moretz is involved. I find that I highly dislike her in horror movies.
