Really gonna be interesting how Ant Man ties into this since it takes place before and during Infinity War

    Oh really? Didn’t know that.

Also when’s the rom-com prequel, “Scarlett Vision” coming out?

I just read it takes place before infinity war and after civil war and captain marvel takes place in the 1990s

Well that was definitely the best of the crossover movies, and one of the top MCU movies in general.

Didn't think they'd have the audacity to do that.

It's a strange movie. For the most part I was underwhelmed. I thought Thanos' desire and plan was just too "I'm evil because I'm evil" and that just made me roll my eyes. Also, the amount of foreshadowing and predictability in this movie (and Marvel in general) has gotten rather annoying. I feel like part of that stems from a problem with their release slate. Announcing stuff like the upcoming Captain Marvel and Spider-Man Homecoming's sequel kind of pulls me out of it.

Some of that's also just a superhero problem. Things are mostly temporary and 98% of the time heroes return in some way.

It's not up at the top. It's going to suffer from the problem later down the line that it doesn't hold up because it can't stand on its own at all.

My wife and I were talking about bringing our 3 year old to see it after a few weeks and then after that ending we were like “nah probably not”

Yeah I didnt get that at all. It wasnt like the typical power and expansion bullshit where he just wants to rule he at least had a purpose as to why. The whole Titan planet monologue exemplified why he wanted to do what he did. And the balance thing. Also loved the line about randomly chosen and not from any one class of people or whatever.

I for one loved Thanos. A lot. Worth the build up for me.

The groot/Captain America exchange is the cutest thing I've seen in the MCU

Thanos was multifaceted in a way I didn't expect.

I’d also argue this movie isn’t supposed to stand on its own. Like. That’s very much the point of drawing them all together over the course of ten years’ worth of films.

The only problem I have with it is obviously they are going to find a way to reverse it. Which is ok I guess. But how far do you go? Do you bring back the asgardians? Why not go all the way back and prevent the winter soldier from killing tony’s parents?

    Loved this.

Gamora, Thor, and Wanda were the soul of this film for me.

I get why he wanted to do it, I'm saying I think it's a weak reason. If he's really supposed to be such an intelligent person he sure found a stupid solution to a simple problem when he contains stone that control time, space, reality and so forth. He talks about their being finite resources and all this other stuff for a reason for his actions towards "balance" when he can literally just alter reality itself and space and time and adjust things for everyone to live harmoniously instead of killing off half the universe. He is evil because he likes being evil. It's weak.

They won't go that far back. They can't undo some deaths because it won't sit well with the fans. I assume Tony will get a hold of the gauntlet somehow (probably with the aid of Steve and Captain Marvel) and then reverse time.

The predictability of the movie really frustrates me.

Maybe I’m just not up to whatever when it comes to the source material, but this movie wasn’t that predictable to me. Especially coming off Black Panther which I almost called plot point for plot point as it happened.

This movie should be called Avengers: Anxiety War because after the first 5 minutes that’s the main thing I was feeling. This movie kicked my butt.

Because it’s the 1 future he saw where they won. He knew that Thanos would succeed and that even he would die himself but Tony had to be alive for the winning future to take place.

When Rocket tells Thor ”I could lose a lot”. And then he ends up watching Groot die and he becomes the only living Guardian. Poor rabbit.

WHERE THE FUQ WAS MY BOY HAWKEYE!?! Was willing to bet money the after credit scenes would be his farm house and his family dying. Which I’m NOW willing to bet money we see happening at the start of A4.
