I get calls a few times a week from random numbers. I never pick up a number I don't recognize. A lot of times they'll leave a voicemail that just waits a few seconds and says, "Gooooodbyeeeee" in a creepy robotic voice.

 

It's just really weird how ALL these random numbers have the same first 3 numbers as my own number and they're all from the same city. I'm gonna stop answering. Most of the I miss the call anyway because I'm working.

 

Professors who talk about themselves incessantly OMG I'm not here to take a 101 class about ur life!!!!

 

My birthday is next week and I have to spend 10 hours at work on that day. Being an adult person is the worst.

On the topic of bad drivers in trucks, just the other day I was sitting at a light waiting to turn right while I was out running an errand. There was a blue minivan in front of me and when we finally turned, the driver of the minivan got into the left lane and I got into the right. As we both made the right turn, a large black truck made a sudden, very narrow left turn and came flying up on both of us. The minivan was just slightly ahead of me while I hung back a bit in the right lane. I could tell the black truck was attempting to cut me off and go around the minivan because he was right on the minivan's tail and was inching closer whenever the gap between me and the minivan widened. I should mention here that we were on a main road and I was going about 45 in a 40 while the minivan was going slightly faster in the left lane and that still wasn't good enough for truck guy.

So we get to the next light where I'm turning right and I look over at the guy in the black truck and give him the "what's your problem?" hand gesture. I make my turn and the guy just guns it over into my lane, nearly hitting me as I turn and he takes off. So I shake my head and turn into my parents' neighborhood (I was stopping by to pick something up from them), parking in front of their house. I get out, go to the door and then turn to see the black truck has turned around from the main road and followed me to my location. The guy gets out and starts yelling at me, asking if I had a problem with him. He asked if he had done something to warrant my frustration, in so many colorful words. Noting that this guy was unstable enough to halt what he was doing and track me down to my destination point just to scream at me, I sensed he would be more than willing to take it further. I decided to tell him I had no idea what he was talking about and wished him a good day so as not to escalate the tension. The guy said he knew I was lying, got into his car, screamed "YOU CAN FUCK OFF YOU LITTLE PRICK" and then slammed down on the gas pedal. He peeled out of the residential neighborhood going at least 60 in a 25. As he took off I stared in shock long enough to notice the "Trump 2016" bumper sticker. Very quickly I switched from fear to an audible "Ohhhhhh."

I suppose this is how you make America great again.

 

@Nyquist people are scary. Especially the ones who support Trump. I'm always afraid I'll honk at someone because they did something stupid and they'll follow me. When I fear I'm being followed I just take longer ways around to my destination and random turns. Speaking of stupid drivers, last semester I think it was, I was leaving school and it was backed up on this main road I take that leads me to the interstate. This girl cuts me off, I honk and she yells something out her window. I will not stop in the middle of the road and hold up traffic just because someone decided to change lanes last second. Hated living in the city, it is full of people with horrible attitudes, rude people, crazy people, creepy people etc.

 

One time some dude tried to turn left into a lane I was turning into (turning right) while I had a green light and he followed me on a complete detour (he went back to the main road after so he clearly only turned again to follow me) just to tailgate me, then change lanes and pull up to roll his window down and yell at me and flip me off. This was a long time ago and I was petty...so I flicked a cigarette into his window.

 

If I wasn't afraid of it happening before, I absolutely am now. The scary thing about this was that, after I had turned into the neighborhood, the guy had taken off going straight so as far as I was concerned he was gone and presumably headed for the freeway since it was in that direction. When I turned around and he was just suddenly there in front of my parents' house, his car was parked behind mine facing the same direction as mine. So the guy didn't just make a right turn at another street corner ahead and double back, it looked to me like he had taken a full on u-turn in the middle of the road and turned around to come find me. You have to be some kind of unstable to do that.

friend of mine said "not sure what this is, wanna try some?" with a substance...we added said substance to whisjey and a coje, smoked a bowl and i passed out.
wake up next morning, feel fine, drive to work, but , and i dont remember this,
end up rear ending a jeep.
not enough to cause any damage to them, not a lot to me, but airbags go off.
this is when i start to remember things.

im pigeon toed and cant walk a straight line, it hurts my ankles enough to wear 3 steps is a fall. i just walj intoed, have for 24 years.
the officer didnt like this. and then took me to jail.
blood tested me.

i bond out.
get checked for concussion day later and am told most likely but there is no swelling or bleeding so its not gonna help much in court.
just waiting for my blood test to come back tuesday and ill go from there.
just sucks because yeah, i was prolly due a DUI charge in my life and i probably smoke too much weed in most eyes.
but damn. im looking at a bit of trouble lol. could easily blame friend, but thats why we're friends, we can bring each other shit lije that lol.

 

iTunes still changes song information that I've adjusted. It loves to revert it back so I get artists like "plants and animals/plants and animals" instead of "plants and animals." I've given up trying to keep up with it because it's impossible. Now my iTunes library is a giant mess.

This is the most annoying thing Apple does, followed closely by still autocorrecting 'fucking' to 'ducking'.

 

I literally just got a call from a number with the same area code and same first 3 digits as my number. You've cursed me! Actually... looking through all my missed calls, this has happened a few times. I never answer random numbers.

I think the first 3 digits of your number just have to do with your cell carrier.

 

Maybe it's like the Ring and if you read the post in this thread it starts happening tbh!!! Throw that lil long haired terror down the well if she comes 4 you!!

 

I've had my number for so many years, I don't think I've met someone with the same carrier that has the first 3 digits the same. I answer in case it's about a job interview since I'm trying to apply places. Usually they leave voice mails. I peaked at your page and it says you also live in CA. Maybe CA is just cursed??

 

Yup, I'm about 45min-ish outside of the LA area. I'm super anxious about answering random numbers, but since you're applying for jobs that makes sense. Hope you find a good one! Maybe CA is cursed and I'll just have to learn to embrace it haha.

Trying to help my friends deal with all their issues, no one is there to help me as I deal with those friends. It's really overwhelming sometimes...
