Jaguars select Tegray Scales, SLB, Indiana

I took him last mock in round 3. Reasoning is still the same but the value is better.

We need a LB who goes through, not around. One who can stack and shed blocks against power offenses, which is a weakness for both Telvin Smith & Myles Jack.

Scales plays excellently in a crowd and navigates down blocks naturally, he also doesn't overcommit and stays ready to redirect when the RB counters. Hes a natural for the Sam backer role. Well rounded player also who can sack the QB, also with disciplined eyes and great understanding of when to pass off routes in zone coverage.

DaeSean Hamilton was going to be my Chiefs pick but probably makes more sense on a team with a WR need

He's more of a slot guy right? I remember looking at his prospect profile last week and thought I knocked him down because the Bills need more of a boundary WR.

Is Tre'Quan Smith off the board? May not be the speedster they need, but the GM of the team IS the guy who had a hand in drafting Benjamin and Devin Funchess so he clearly likes big WR
