Oh yeah I definitely get that too, but I guess we’re gonna wait and see what goes down. Cross my fingers when November elections go down he isn’t out there campaigning for these fucking people.

  3. I wish I was the kinda person that could just not care about any of this. I have friends blissfully aware of our "President" and the daily horrors he inflicts upon the world and they just go about their lives/jobs and have no worries. Never once have they thought about the music or movies they consume and it's like "yeah, I like that or don't like it" and that's about it. Sometimes I'm jealous.

  4. Thank God 2017 gave us Brockhampton to stan. Speaking of which, I saw Dom McLennon tweet a little about this yesterday, but I can't imagine any of them are having a particularly great time with this either.

If the rumor of them working with Rick rubin is true I wonder if Rick spouted any of his weird shit to them

Just remembered the rest of his speeches from around when he first said he would have voted for Trump. While the Candace Owens and Scott Adams and Trump admiration might seem out of nowhere, alt-right Kanye is ideologically consistent for him going back at least to November of 2016. This is a sinister evolution of the outlook he had on those last Saint Pablo shows.

It's a slightly more nuanced statement than someone like Owens would maybe purport herself, but it was still poisonous and backwards and reprehensible. I know there was always a hope that he was in a bad place for those shows and that it wasn't truly who he was, but it looks like the thoughts he had then have remained consistent to now, and have grown further to the right, even if I'm not sure he'd define it that way, given all his emphasis on being a "free thinker".

I spread it to KTT earlier and it was a nice discussion over there lmao. Get it to a national scale, someone like Ebro would definitely talk about it if it catches him

Oh I’m not saying interview him but if it was interesting enough of a conspiracy/connect the dots situation people like the morning show on hot 97 would talk about it

As far as the movies or music being consumed, how far does it go for you? Because I totally get people hating or never seeing a movie by Kevin Spacey again or Woody Allen or something. But there has to be a line, right? I'm sure that there is someone involved in the majority of movies or albums or businesses that I completely disagree with.

ok i mean theres a difference between listening to an album by someone with views you disagree with and listening to an album made by a predator.

and hell even then it depends on those views. if someone's view is that all non white people should be killed yeah im not gonna listen to someone because i dont agree with them. like christian bale seems like a massive asshole but im not gonna not watch any of his movies because he freaked out on set or whatever. but i will not ever watch a mel gibson movie because he's a piece of shit who should have never been rehabilitated by the media after the horrible shit he said. obviously theres a line and most people seem to have a reasonable one even if it differs person to person sometimes

in terms of movies i imagine the role has to play a big part in whether or not movies are easy to watch by people accused of wrongdoing? i dont watch movies much so i dont really know. but i imagine its easier to stomach a weinstein movie since hes just a producer and never on camera than it is to watch, for example, a mel gibson movie, because you have to see his face the entire time and be reminded of his involvement no matter how hard you want to forget.

  22. Dunno, it's usually a case by case basis. And I've definitely still seen movies that include some awful people in it. I won't pay for them or give them money though.

The Cosby shit is probably the worst thing Kanye’s ever done imo but I still listened after that. The latest stuff is straw, camel, back for me though. I don’t think I can listen anymore.

Case by case is the smartest way to go about it, but even then, I feel like I ignore that sometimes and be hypocritical about it in a way.

ill probably still listen. i havent given him money in a long time but im not gonna publicly be excited about his shit anymore. ill listen on my own. for the first time i wont be enthusiastic about it all. maybe ill like it, maybe i wont, but its definitely not gonna feel the way hearing new kanye albums used to feel.
