That's my pick. Very good album.

 

Saba and Phonte are pretty much tied for me

 

He's part of Dead End Hip Hop. I really recommend their videos to everyone in here, they have absolutely fantastic discussions about the genre

 

Evidence has made the album of the year and nothing has even come close.

 

I want to like the Saba album more than I do, it's just kinda one dimensional to me

Phonte, and the Black Panther album are my go to for this year so far. Still need to check out Saba. Cardi good too

I keep forgetting how good that Raekwon album from last year is. Marvin is a perfect example how great of a lyricist he is.

I have never heard a Russ song

 

I've never even heard of him before lol

 

no idea who he is

 

He has a big high school following apparently. He's part of the "I don't like any rap music except Eminem" group

 

gross. Also never heard of him, so weird that stuff can get massively popular with kids and go completely unnoticed elsewhere.

 

I pray that Nas - June 15 release date is legit. Can't believe it's been SIX years since Life is Good.
